Considering JUDDD

Morning all

I’m currently doing Exante to get rid of a gain while suffering an injury. Other than this set back I felt like I was in control of maintaining and have a relatively healthy lifestyle with regular heavy weight lifting. The injury has gone and I continue at the gym despite the ultra low calories.

I’ve been considering 5:2 or JUDDD as my next move to chip away at the last 10-14lbs as I’m ultimately aiming for 9 stone before having multiple cosmetic surgeries. I want it to be a maintainable loss and one of the above will be for life and not just the last chunk. It’s deciding what is right for me going forward.

I’ve spent the last week reading JUDDD diaries (I seem to be a slow reader) and the plan certainly works but I have the concern that what if it doesn’t work for me? I know I will need to take the plunge but hesitant as you can imagine.

Do any of you have any particular advice - especially anyone who moved from a VLCD to this WOE?

I think I will aim for 9st 10lbs as a point to switch or a little higher if the weight loss really slows down.

I look forward to hearing any comments or suggestions you may have.

Oh yes, also considering three down days per week Tues, Thurs and Sat as I don’t workout in these days. Then move to two days or one for maintenance. Still debating on whether it should be a full fast or a restriction. If the latter, I’m not sure what the level should be.

I’ll stop talking now and thanks in advance for any replies :)

Hi there. I see it's been silence. I don't know about JUDD and found 5:2 tough. I'm now doing a different sort of intermittent fasting. I eat keto ( pretty carnivore). I have a lot more to shed than you. It's working for me - and easier than a vlcd.

Useful info - Dr Fung on dietdoctor.com and his book the Obesity Code and Dr Berg on you tube.

Happy to direct message if you want more info. You probably need specialist info as you are already very low calorie. I do think that the autophagy will help with scarring.
