Cooked apple with mincemeat...

The book says i can have 225g of cooked apple with 1 tbsp of mincemeat - ace! But how do i measure it?! The weight changes once you've cooked it so do i weigh 225g of apple, then cook it, or cook loads of apples then weigh out 225g? Any advice would really be appreciated!

Good point! You could always cook a load & freeze the rest

Thats kind of what i've gone for - my consultant doesn't seem to have an answer either! It makes adding one level tbsp of mincemeat tricky though because i like to add it while its cooking!
