I'm not sure bout cod :( but I looovee to pop a chicken breast in tin foil add as much veg as you want maybe some frylight or low fat butter. Salt pepper, I love herbs so bash em in. Then pop in the oven for 30-40 mins at 180c then walk away. A meal in tinfoil. So simple and yet so tender.

I use a jar of concarne sauce. But I usually cut up an onion veg. Fry off the mince/quorn--I don't use oil for mince but you'd need it with quorn. Then I add onion sauté for a few mins, add veg sauté for another few. Then I add in the jar of sauce/packet. The jar comes with kidney beans and there's a ww one. I use tesco pretty sure it adds like 2pp to the meal. Then boil up rice, while you carne simmers away. Then tuck in :)

Hope this helps. Good luck. If you feel adventurous and want a choc treat. But the jus-rol puff pastry, roll out till bout 1/8inch thick then add a small teaspoon of nutella into the corners, fold over, cut and repeat make about 10. Not sure of points. Nutella should be one, but can't remember points for pastry. It was v. Good on discovery--like 1/2point for a SHEET. But there great treat :) enjoy, best of luck cooking.

Hiya!! hehe don't worry about it everyone has to start somewhere!!!

If you get a fillet of cod or haddock try to get it skinless and boneless. Smoked haddock is lovely by the way.

My mum would cook it in milk just bring it to a gentle simmer. You can use the milk to make a sauce (like parsely sauce with plain cod perhaps?), or just have it plain.

I usually bung it in the oven in some foil as its the least hassle. You can add a wee tickle of butter if you have an extra point :p

chilli con carne is pretty simple. Fry: mince, onion, (mushrooms? i like mushrooms in mine) add chilli powder or your scwartz stuff, then tinned kidney beans/tomatoes... and a bit of stock, an oxo cube works okay because you have lots of juice from the tomats :) et voila.

i like it because you make it all in one pan and i'm very lazy :p

i like omlette, its quite easy to make for us novices! Nice with bits of potato, peppers, onions, ham etc

chicken a la king is lovely, will get you the recipe later on when i'm home from work :p

Haddock & cod - you can bake it in foil as others have said, or you can steam it in a steamer (just put the fish in your steamer and cover with foil and steam for around 20 mins), this is how I do mine.

With the schwartz packs, if using quorn mince, I would do it as follows:

Chop your onion and fry it in a little frylight. Then add your mushrooms (if using them) and fry until soft. This should give you enough moisture to then add your quorn mince (if not spray a bit more frylight in). Give it a quick fry and then follow the instructions on the pack - i.e. adding in your tinned toms, water etc.

    xx
