Can anyone shed any light on this for me please....

Why are some cottage cheeses with pineapple synned and some arn't?

I thought it may be to do with the amount of pineapple in it but ive had the morrisons one today and it has more pineapple in than any of the other brands and its syn free.

    Hmmmmmmm

I think it maybe more to do with the cheese-fat level than the pineapple content - or maybe some use actual chunks of pineapple and some use processed pineapple from a factory that tins fruit and the syns come from the preservatives?

I think it may be the sugar levels in the pineapple.

But whatever the syns they are worth it, I love Cottage Cheese with pineapple.

And I have to say the I like the Asda one best of all - and I have tried almost all the other supermarket one's, but Asda has the better taste...

Thanks so much for posting this - Tesco used to be free and I've always counted it as such! No idea why they vary though, I've just checked the tesco label and there's no sugar in it, just 15% pineapple. Is it due to the pineapple percentage content maybe??

Thats pants. Just bought Tesco cottage cheese and pineapple. The question is do I want to waste a 1/2 sin on it. I think yes.
