I have taken this recipe from BBS Good Food Website and adapted it and it was delicious!

ansum dinner 002.jpg

1 KG of potatoes peeled and sliced finely
2 leeks sliced finely
6 rashers of bacon, trimmed and chopped up
1 garlic clove
600 mls chicken stock
100 mls low fat creme fraiche

Boil the potatoes, garlic and leeks in the stock for 5 minutes and drain well ( save 200 mls of the stock )
Get a large oven proof dish and spray with frylite and place a flattened layer and scatter half the chopped bacon over
Place another layer and scatter remaining bacon and then drizzle the creme fraiche over the top.

bake in a medium oven until the top layer of potatoes have gone crispy.

8.5 syns for the whole lot but I reckon it will serve 6!

I had mine with some roast chicken and loads of SF veg and it was lovely x

Bumping this for future meals Im so cold and this looks warm and comforting

This looks really yummy and great for cold winter evenings but I can't work out where the Syns come from, is it the creme fraiche?

Low fat creme fraiche is 8.5syns per 100ml so that's where the syns come from.

You could use Quark / Natural Fromage Frais to make it a Free dish! :)

Has anyone tried this with low fat fromage frais to see if it turns out ok?

I will give it a go this week!
