hello everyone, ive just come back from the chemist with my 21 sachets. I am feeling quite anxious about the journey ahead but it is something i both want and need to do. I was humiliated my my consultant who told me I cannot have my large and painful ovarian cyst out until I have lost seven stones, I have a lot more than that to lose. Food has always been my comfort, my place to hide. I have been a dress size 28 my whole adult life. I am 37 and have never worn clothes smaller. I have been reading all of your stories and you are all inspirational. I hope there is room on this journey for me xxx;)

Hi Daisee and welcome! Having an extra medical reason for doing this diet will really help you focus and stay determined. You are going to love this journey because you will feel like a completely new person by the end of it: physically and mentally. I started off as a 24 and I've already dropped to a 22 in a couple of weeks. We've got more to lose than many others but we have the thrill of more losses and size drops. The only problem is, it's going to cost you a fortune in new clothes! Good luck in your first week. Let us know how you get on. :D

Good to have you on board Daisee. If you can get through your first week to weigh in it will give you the push you need to keep going. I am almost through week 5 now and I have never felt better. There were days that I just wanted to cave in and eat but if you are in thr right frame of mind you will push through it. You just have to want to do this. Good luck on your journey xx

I must be weird cos I quite like the sachets now. When I first started, the chemist only had strawberry ones in stock and I could stomach them but didn't like them so after 3 days and I was given the chocolate ones: heaven! I now have 2 choc each day and one strawberry which I now like! I think my taste buds are adjusting: yay! I mix the choc one in the evening with ice cold minty tea for a change. I know just what you mean about your stomach being happy but the head is screaming. I'm experimenting at the mo with imagining I'm eating the "craved food" a mouthful at a time. It seems to distract and soothe the old brain cells. I'll try any old trick. ;)
If you can stay strong this first week, you are going to do so well. X

Good luck Daisee, I have found that this diet also allows u to look at your relationship with food and a great insight as to why you eat, the 1st week is hard but I promise you it will get easier, try to stay 100%, I look upon my shakes are medicine for Fat! Also when I look at food and i'm tempted my hubby says its fugly food meaning it makes you f**king ugly lol and shakes are beautiful ( no he doesnt think im ugly), so makes me laugh and stay motivated, drink loads and keep your mind busy when you crave, good luck on your own journey xx

Welcome on board Daisee. It is daunting looking forward but I promise you, when you've got a few weeks under your belt it becomes habitual and you get to the point when you are pretty much coasting. I'm just about to complete week five and looking back I can't believe how quickly it's gone. I've had a couple of blips when I've wanted to eat but have got through it by eating a SMALL amount of ham or chicken. What I would say is if you accept at the outset that this MAY happen to you, then you won't feel like a complete failure when it does. On the other hand, you could be one of the amazing individuals on here that stay 100% throughout. If you are going to break the diet because you feel you have to eat something, do it in a controlled way and only eat a small amount of protein. That will keep your extra calories to a minimum and keep you in ketosis. The best way is to get going, get to your first weigh in, see the weight drop off and that will give you all the motivation you need for the next week. As the diet goes on, you will get motivated by loosening rings, loosening belts, dropping dress sizes, people telling you how much better you're looking etc. Use these to keep you going, not to make you complacent! Good luck with it all.
