...4 and thought it was time to start a diary.

Another full on day at hickstead, more watching than anything else. Usually this would be watching, eating and drinking. Well I did do the drinking, but no pimms or champers, only water for me! :D

My water intake was definitely up today on yesterday, I did one shake and 2 bars, I am also having a protien meal tonight. Mainly because I feel so sorry for my OH, I'm very privileged that he grows all of our own fruit and veg and he finds it depressing eat himself. So to make a compromise and that is what relationships are all about :), I have agreed to have a small meal on Fri, Sat and Sunday nights...... In return for him washing my blender.
    :D

I also did my measurements, in inches:

    waist 31
    hips 42
    thighs L24/R25
    upper arms L11/R12

...day 5 and I'm determined to do TS!
Had one banana shake for breakfast and one vanilla shake for lunch. Might have veg soup (haven't had that one yet) or chocolate this eve.

I'm about to have a can of coke zero, I had one this am. Im also surviving the office ice creams, I'm amazed that I'm not giving in.

Conclusion - on this diet it's not hunger that makes you crack it is the action of eating. Well that's what I miss anyway. Also the reason this works as there are no grey areas, you just don't eat food you just have your shakes/bars/soups. For me, on healthy eating plans I always ended up using just one piece of chocolate, or just one something or other. That's what always made me fail. But not this time.

....day 6, and I survived day 5 on TS, so today I am aiming for another TS. Have definitely found today a bit tough. I have been thinking more about food, the taste, texture and smell. Doesn't help that everyone in my office eats at their desk, ho-hum my veg soup was to die for.... not! It wasn't too bad but I'm defo a shake girl.

No one in the office has quite cottoned on yet, and this pleases me. I'm not at the stage where I justify eating nothing without lots of comments and how it will just come back on etc. It won't, I maintained for 2 years and then went a bit crazy, interpret that as drank a lot of alcohol, had a glass of wine or two with every evening meal.

    Hey Crims
I must admit I spend a lot of time thinking about food too, especially planning what I'll eat when I'm on add a meal week... mind you I've always spent a lot of time planning/ daydreaming about food and I think this is one of my big problems! Am hoping as the days go on food will become a distant memory and I'll stop thinking about it - but everyone around me seems to talk about food sooooo much more once they find out I'm on a diet, argh!!!
Have a good day tomorrow, nearly your first week done woohoo!

    Hi Crims
I've been finding the same when I'm out of the house all day - why don't exante do any prepacked shakes?!?! Will have to resort to getting myself a battery powered hand-blender!
Well done on WI - half a stone gone in one week, yay!

I agree, I'm sure the shakes fill me up more than the bars. Do you find that?

Thanks I'm trying hard to persist, only 1.6 stone to go! Reckon I will do that in 4 weeks, then maybe another 2weeks on top to get proper trim

Wow 6 weeks and you'll be done, that doesn't sound long at all! Yeah, I'm looking forward to starting again with food - even chicken salad will seem amazing, so am hoping I'll be able to keep off the junk and just enjoy simple food again! I've got a while to go on this though before I get there!
Definitely agree the shakes are more satisfying, which is surprising. I think because they're creamy and the bars are a bit sickly for me, usually have to split my bar into 3 or 4 pieces to get through it.
Have a good weekend, anything planned?

    10 I think it is!!!

Been very good through the week did mostly TS but fri and sat I did WS but stuck rigidly too it. I went out with work on fri night had a great time and just diet coked it and out with friends last night Inc dinner where I had steak and egg. We had an epic night and I was designated driver, so all good.

LED - I'm really enjoying the shakes, they do fill me up. My hunger and cravings have pretty much all gone. I'm enjoying watching the lbs melt away. Sneaky lil weigh in today and I'm 10.4 yaldy. Off to small holder show today and think we are having a BBQ tonight so I'm doing WS.

How are you doing? Where are you up to now? X

    Hey Crims
wow you're doing great! I'm day 10 I think as well, and have dropped 11lbs, only 3 more to go for my first stone, yay! Have been busy working this weekend and doing all the usual jobs - pretty busy so haven't felt like I'm missing out by not having my usual weekend treats... in fact I had to have my soup quickly just before bed last night as I hadn't had time to eat it!
Enjoy the BBQ tonight, so glad that its easy to eat low carb with things like that as I love a barbie in the summer!

    Hey Crims
Do you think that having food makes you hungier the next day, or is it just one of those things? I'll be eating on Saturday as I'm off to a wedding... hoping I can get back on the wagon easily on Sunday!
Mind you, it is so nice to have some food to look forward to... not sure I'd find it so easy if I knew I had to do TS for the next 4 months!
Good luck today, hope the hunger passes soon x

I don't think it's the food, I think it's that I'm at my desk and my desk is where I used to eat. I'm also feeling a bit weak today, limp arms etc. So I think my body thinks it needs more food for fuel, I just had a bar and might have my last shake early and just head for bed as soon as I get it. I think it's mainly the change in routine, I'm so busy at weekends then suddenly I'm in 1 place all day at my desk. On the up side ive nailed nearly 2ltrs of water already today!

Realised what made me hungry, diet coke kicked me out of ketosis, i was a bit dim and forgot diet coke wasn't allowed. Anyway won't be making that mistake again, but suspect my WI tomor might not be much to write home about. But hopefully next week will be better. Today has been a struggle as was yesterday, so i'm kicking myself for being so stupid.

Yep! as I suspected, my WI is nothing spectacular, 2lbs off. I know it's better than 2lbs on! But still.... anyway a silly mistake over the weekend has made me so much more determined and I think I'm back in Ketosis.

I'm not at my barrier weight 10st4.... this is where I maintained from Lipotrim for 2 years. I could never get any lower, so now the fight is on. This week I would love to lose 4lbs, so I'm going to reduce my WS days to only 2 this week, and cut out bars.

    Wish me luck!
