Diary!!Day 5!!

    Well,
    It was my first day of LT today after building myself up for it and I've got to say i actually quite enjoyed the shakes!!!I've had 2 so far, strawberry and chocolate and don't get me wrong they were no galaxy milkshakes like, but they aren't half as bad as what I was expecting!!!
    Saying that though, i'm bloody starving.
    I'm quite sad to have said goodbye to junk but the thought of being miss slinky overpowers that so its all good!!!
    I'm so glad I've come on here though coz i've managed to get so many tips and so many words of encouragement which I think is going to be a mega part of sticking to this diet.
    Not sure where to get ketosis strips from?

    I'm going wiv my boyf to or friends house tonight so that's going to be my first challenge as no doubt they will be drinking... ill let you know how i get on!xxxx

    well done, day one under the belt!! i actually love the choc shake, its my fave and is yummy hot with a sweetener.
    ketostix, you can get these from your pharmacy for about £5.. i think boots may do them as well. if all else fails i did buy some the very first time from ebay.

    have fun when you go out tonite and be strong. let them drink and you stick to your water!.. you can definitely do this and you will be so proud of yourself for it at the end!...

    thanks honey. just about to have one of my many packs of chicken soup!!haha.
    The chocolates really nice isn't it. I was surprised at how milky it tasted. Don't know how nice it will be after a few weeks of it everyday though! we'll see!
    I am going to get some ketosis checker things its all very exciting!!How sad!!!

    i used to love the chicken soup when i started. i think it was just for the hell of having something warm.. and also i was really big on my salt intake and this chicken soup is very salty so i liked it. but i cannot stand the sight of it now!... i love choc shake best and then after that its strawberry!. i have never been a big fan of vanilla, its the only one that makes me feel sick. god knows why!.. i might try and make vanilla icecream with it and see.

    alot of people have mentioned choc with cinnamon and choc with peppermint tea.. will try then too and let you know if they're any good. they sound good tho!

    haha.. sad.. but i do enjoy checking my ketone level every morning. which is such a waste of the sticks.. but it really puts a smile on my face when i see that im big time in ketosis and gives me a boost! lol

    as soon as i go into ketosis i feel like superwoman! i get lots of energy, dont feel hungry at all! on my first day of restarting i was starving. yesterday i was a little bit.. today im perfect!.. but then i have been drinking more water as well.

    haha. straight answer should have been YES! but its different for everybody x.. if you do feel hungry alot try sipping on water or have a tea or coffee, always does the trick for me xx

    Well done on starting LT today after your night out last night.
    I bought the ketostix at Asda Pharmacy, so I think most large supermarket Pharmacies will stock them.
    Good luck for tonight, you will be fine, just keep strong and think of your slinky figure when all this is over.

    Glad to see you took the plunge and joined us all! Good luck with the first few days. We'll be here for you and remember, it gets sooo much easier after the first few short days...

    Im on day 9 and actually had to remind myself today to take the last two shakes!!! I was'nt hungry and had completely forgotton!

    ahh daisy how r you finding it so far??

    Ive just got back from my night out and ive got to say i was pretty miserable. everyone else ordered pizza and i was just sat there like a dipstick with my water....BUT i do feel kinda good that i resisted.So thats a bonus!

    I will try asda tomorrow for the sticks!!

    My sis has just emiled me wishing me good luck bless her. She says she going to come visit us soon and dress up as mr motivator in lycra and a bum bag!!haha. eh apparently the motivator himself is back on GMTV?Is this true?that dude was a legend back in the day xx

    Good luck Barbie, the first few days are tough but the motivation to be slinky will definitely help you!

    I hated the chicken soup when I first started but am very tempted to try it again - just coz it will be something warm!!!!! I love the shakes, though I only have them cold and the vanilla with coffee as a cold latte, yum, great way to start the day!!!!

    You are sounding really positive and are doing so well, keep it up, the ketosis fairy will hit soon and you'll feel great.

    Honestly babe, it does! I've been on it for 8 months and managed to cook for my OH and 3 children and even bake cookies, brownies and cakes with them without cheating once! Even now there is a yummy cheesecake in the fridge which normally I would have polished off but I'm not tempted. It was a different story when I was eating over Christmas coz I made 2 (the one in the fridge is shop bought) and they were gorgeous (sorry to blow my own trumpet but even my OH raved over it!) I have promised to make it again for the children but it may have to wait a bit!!!!

    I have become a bit of a sniffer though! I love to sniff food but find it doesn't tempt me, if anything it helps!!!! The urge to be slim is much stronger when on LT than the urge to eat - just wish Christmas had been less tempting!!!!

    You will be fine, and we are here for you if you need support, advice or company!

    Well Guys,Day 2 of LT and so far so good.
    I'm not hungry at all at the minute and i feel ok in myself. I was expecting to be headachy etc but so far im ok. Although dunno how i'll be in the week.
    I've literally cleaned the house head to toe to distract me from wanting something to eat but lke i say ive not been hungry at all.

    well done plus you can do this, it will get easier, I didn't find myself hungry really just my mind telling me I wanted certain things, keep it up I cant wait to see what you lose!

    You are doing well Barbie, you seem to be like me and finding it easier than you imagined. I am on day 5 now and loving not being hungry, although occassionally I do get a little hunger pang even though I am in ketosis.
    Keep up the good work hun and good luck for the rest of the week.
