    Hello everyone

I have never done a diary before so I hope this is the right place!

I am on SW Extra Easy and so far have lost 11lbs in 9 weeks. I have already been 'told off' for going too much into diet mode after I maybe had a little indulgence and am trying to learn that syns are there to be used with no guilt!

Ok my week so far I have had one assessment handed in and one due a week today and the stress has cause me to use almost 15 syns every day which is ok but need to get over this connection with eating and stress as I tend to go for cheese and chocolate in these cases. :sigh:

It was my mums birthday yesterday and I think I went over my syns allowance and today feel really bloated which is a pain as weigh in is tomorrow so when I get in from Uni think I will be on the green tea all day. I have to remember though that trying to cut out all syns though is not the best way to deal with the indulgence!

I will leave it here for today but I will post tomorrow after being weighed so I'm hoping that I have maintained if it is not a loss.

    Thanks for reading!

    Lauren :beam:

    Hi Lauren,

Just wanted to say hello and that it sounds like you are doing really well! I know exactly how you feel about using the syns; I tend to save mine for alcohol at the weekend, but otherwise I really struggle to use them and end up feeling guilty whenever I do! And you mention cheese, now THAT is my big old downfall!! :)

Good luck for your weigh-in, I'm sure you have done better than you think! :)

Thank you, yeah if I'm having a wee drinky (or a big one :party0036:) I tend to save and cheese, well I used to eat tons of it a day and go through a block a week at home, I would just cut off a bit everytime I was in the kitchen :eatdrink012:

Thank you and all the best to you :)

    Yay

Lost a 1lb this week so happy days, 2lbs off hitting 1 stone award now.

Been for a run with my mum today too and got soaked but this is the start of a week on plan (except Mon dinner out but that will be damage limitation plan)

    :)

Hello everyone, time for some diary therapy!

As I may have mentioned in my earlier post I have uni nwork on at the moment and I am really bad for burying my head in the sand when I don't understand something which has lead to me falling behind. This in turn means I am tempted to stray and eat not because I am hungry but because I am stressed.

I have gotten rid of the worst of the temptation from the house, such as chocolate and sweets as they are stress foods. I will make sure I don't go back to diet mode but I'll use it for things such as my milk in my tea and adding some extra cheese, etc.

How do you cope with this kind of stress? I also do a bit of running but doesn't work as well as keeping calm as it used to.

Today I am just trying to keep calm and finish my work but I seem to have gone the other way and lost some of my hunger today though it may just be a delayed reaction.

Any stress tips be much appreciated.

    Lauren :wave_cry:

    Hello Everybody

Well been a while since I wrote (sorry!) and had my first gain today and I am about halfway through my journey. I gained a 1lb today but I am ok with it as once again I have had a bad week emotionally and been eating again without thinking and when I do it is rubbish.

I am back on a food diary this week because if I have to write it down then I will have to thin about what I am putting in my mouth!

Started Zumba two weeks ago and I also have to start my training for the 10mile turkey trot so hopefully the combined good eating and exercise will give me a boost next week.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Lauren :)

Welcome back! Don't worry about the gain, as you say, you know where it's come from so forget about it, start fresh and move on. It's a good idea to write things down as you eat them, I used to 'forget' about snacks and bad foods that had gone into my mouth, but now that I plan ahead more and write things down I keep myself on the straight and narrow! ;)

Sounds like you are going to be kept busy with exercise as well, that's great motivation, to have something to train for, well done! :)

    xx

Thank you, I usually feel better once I get it out in the open too about how I feel and realise that other people do have the same moments too!

The exercise also helps in keeping calm and try to up it when the stress signals start (usually relating to a due date looming for college) but I didn't this week :break_diet:

Hope your journey is going well :)

    Hello Everyone

Well I though I would give this scan bran challenge a go as I am desperate to lose weight this week after my gain but my syns have still been at the 10 mark per day so don't know if that is enough to loose.

I just feel so...well...fat this week and I know that I am not but all I can think this week is fat fat fat and just want to eat crap because I think it will make me feel better (and gave me the 1lb gain).

I have a really good consultant but I don't want to bother her again with how I feel because in the past when I felt bad I did well and when I felt good it didn't do as well.

I am wondering if I need to exercise more had a 5 mile run on Sunday Zumba on Monday and wasn't planning on running until Thursday another 5 but maybe I should do a fast 3 before Uni tomorrow morning. :whacky068:

I don't know what to do or how to cheer myself up I feel so sad and kind of alone.

    Lauren

    Ah well

Half a pound gain this week and almost started crying during class when asked where I went wrong.

My consultant was once again really good with me and I had two blowout days before weigh in and was told if it had happened at the start of the week would not have had as much of an impact in my gain. I have a b ig night out this week so need to keep my syns right down this week..

The worst part is I know not to blow out I know the plan I know it works but it's almost like an override in my brain.

I upped my exercise the past two weeks and was told my metabolism needs to re adjust to this two and started the scan bran challenge so this may also be a factor. The fact that it was half a pound gain this week with half on compared to one with no on days must mean I just need to keep at it.

But most importantly, I have been told to RELAX!! :pillowfight:

    Thanks for reading.

    Lauren :)

    *hugs*

Hi there, I'm new around here (only started slimming world a couple of weeks ago) and just popping in to say hello, trying to make friends! :)

Don't worry too much about your gain this week, as long as you know why it happened and do your best to change it - everyone has slips! Just think about how much weight you've lost so far! It makes me feel better to know that if it works for you, it will hopefully work for me! :) Seems to be going right so far... though I'm dreading weighing myself on Monday 'cause I did have a bad night this week and had some garlic bread from a takeaway!

Good luck with the week ahead! :D

    Hello and welcome :welcome:

I know that the past two weeks all I can do is eat things I shouldn't, its almost like a 'I know I cant have it but I'm going to anyway'.

This week though an calm seems to have settled over me because I have once again managed to keep it under 15 syns each day and as I get weighed on a Fri and my night out is 60 miles away on Thur will be missing a week of class but have been making scan bran cake and made it into a syn a slice. Its also good as it fills my craving for 'bad' food. :eatdrink012:

I think now it is ok and I'm getting under control again but sometimes it is hard to cope when you feel like you are the only one so the diary is a good way to talk about it.

If you only had one bad night you should be fine just use your flexible syns I've taken 5 off 10 days and going to use 50 on my night out (only works cause I miss a week of weigh in) but I should be ok.

Good luck to you on your journey.

    Lauren :bighug:

    Thanks for the welcome :)

Yeah turns out I did lose - only 1lb off but at least it's going in the right direction. I'm happy :) I don't generally use all my sins most days anyway so it's it probably evened itself out over the week.

Hope you have a lovely night out!
