Diary of a newbie!

Hi everyone :wavey:

Ok, today is day one of my first ever go at a "proper" diet plan, an i really am clueless :lost:

My aim is to try and post an intended food diary most days until i get into the swing of things and I'd really, really like your help to make sure I'm on track so all comments are welcomed.

Day one.....here we go!!

Extra easy
B/f-28g all bran (4 syns) 1/2 a banana,milk from HE (rest drunk later)

Lunch-2 wm toast from HE, sardines in tomato sauce, handful cherry toms, fresh beetroot.

Dinner-Syn free cottage pie and green beans, apple.

syns
-cream egg 8.5s (my gran sent me a load :eek:)
Total syns-12.5

Hows that?

Hi, I'm new too and feeling a bit lost. Your day looks ok to me. Its hard to get into it isn't it. I've posted my last 2 days in a diary hoping for some input as I feel like I've eaten too much.

hey it looks good although not sure you ave the HEB right ... you can have 42 g of all bran or 2 small slices of wm bread , you could halve the amounts and have 21 g all bran and 1 slice of toast ..... you could save your HEA and have fruit and a free yoghurt on your allbran ( yummy) and then you could top your cottage pie with cheese r use laughing cw light triangles to spread on your toast ??
you may also want to add a few more syns and some fruit in between :)

2 scrambled eggs, 2 wm toast (HE) 1 light laughing cow triangle (1.5 sins) ss milk (HE)

Lunch
Syn free veggie speed soup

Dinner
special fried rice from flavours of the world cookbook

Snacks
2 apples and a banana
cup-a-soup

5.5

Hi. looks ok so far, are you adding the rest in later?

I was told by my consultant to count a splash of milk in tea as 1 syn. I dont know if everyone would approve. but it works for me. not sure how much you used in the scramble, but i would just work it out accordingly. x

I'm new too but 1 splash of milk in tea is 1 syn , if you want a good loss you need to be eating more super free and speed foods so lots more fruit and veg also they say for the first few weeks limit your syns to 10 you can have more when your in control . I lost 8.5 lb first week and this week I lost 5.5 lb , i eat lots of super free and speed foods lots of water or sugar free juice and limit my syns to 10 , hope this helps x good luck let us know how you go on at weigh in x

Yep looks good. If you are full up don't worry about the rest of your syns. No point eating for the sake of it. 5syns is a reasonable amount anyway.
And plenty of superfree! Looks like you are getting the hang of it to me! Xxx

You not put your HE A , you could have 5 x laughing cow light as this, I often do this and keep them handy to munch when I need to of if you buy the extra light ones you get 6 as HE A , just a thought , glad to see you having a breakfast really is important x good luck

There is no HEa in my particular recipe you are doing, not sure what you mean when you said it says different in 2 places as the recipe is only on my blog once.

Unless you mean on my meal planners. That particular day I had feta cheese with it, but the recipe doesn't call for it.

Didn't have anything as i wasn't feeling too well

Dinner
Home made syn free burger (no bun) 1 light laughing cow triangle (HE) syn free potato wedges, 1 tbsp horseradish 1 syn) and salad

Snacks
Will add on as i eat them :D

You can also have you hea, so maybe some milk or cheese for your burgers?

What did you cook your eggs in? If you used frylight it's free x
