Dilema, please help.

So tonight is WI number 4. I have been on plan 100% in the last the 4 weeks and haven't really felt tempted apart from weekends but I have got over that.

Now the dilema...............

Tomorrow our whole building is getting lunch bought for them. Last time this happened it was great, sandwhiches/rolls/wraps filled with chicken mayo, cheese & ham, ham salad & colelsaw, coronation chicken etc. Also sausage rolls, cold pizza walkers crisps, selection of cakes & muffins. Its 155 person lunch so there is lots and lots food!!

Now, to add extra confusion, i'm out for tea at weatherspoons tomorrow night. I'm also away for a long weekend which will include meals out, lots and lots of drinking, clubbing & possibly hungover chinese!!

Now, plan of action?......

I'm thinking after tonights WI, have breakfast as normal tomorrow (banana, mullerlight yoghurt,apple) Then hopefully keep my lunch as good as I can, maximum of 2 quarter triangle sandwhiches with ham salad, i will bring in a mugshot and maybe a salad box aswell. Must try and resist everything else though which I know is going to be really hard. I've not had the sort of temptation before!!

At weatherspoons think i'm gonna have Gammon Steak. No dressing on salad & baked tattie with no butter.

I am thinking of just having a weekend off plan, and getting straight back on on Monday morning when i'm "back to reality" Obv not go too crazy over the weekend but its hard when staying with friends, having them cook meals etc.

Anyways, any help for tomorrows mega lunch would be helpfull.

Personally I would take my own lunch and not have any of the stuff on offer. It's far too easy to have a huge number of syns even if youtry to be good.

The evening is easy because Wetherspoons have quite a few low syn options on the menu. I suspect gammon may not be the best choice though - have you had a look online at the syn values? You can have bean chilli with rice and tortilla chips for 6 syns, the chilli noodles are something like 1 syn, add chicken to the noodles and it goes up to 10 syns though. Have a look in the eating out section as there are lots of threads on eating at Wetherspoons there.

I think your pre-planning for lunch is great. To me, it looks fine, and you've pretty much decided to do what I'd have done. These would be my "top tips":

- If you can, go for sandwiches which look to be wholemeal, rather than white bread/rolls.

- To avoid crisps, you could take Ryvita Minis/Velvet Crunch. These always satisfy my crisp cravings and are only 4/5 Syns per bag.

- Definitely take a mugshot to help fill you up.

- To avoid chocolate/biscuits/cakes, why not save your Healthy Extra B choice? You could take in a HiFi bar or 2 Alpen Lights. These always seem to satisfy me when I fancy something sweet.

- Most of all, just enjoy yourself. The main thing is that you enjoy what you eat, and get right back on plan as soon as you can. Draw a line under it again and start from scratch :)

I think id go for a flexi sun day or go for the likes of 4 sandwiches on wm bread and the salad type fillings. Syn the spread etc.

Just fill yourself up with lots of super free in the day, like fruit. Our platters have fruit xxxx

I know that would be the easiest thing to do but I know its not going to happen> i would rather just try and limit myself< why should i miss out aswell? i should be able to keep a limit on things

i assumed gammon steak would be the best as i can remove fat etc< might just go for the chilli noodles though! thanks for your help!

ooops didn't realise i have more replies, thanks everyone, I think I will defo stick to my plan for lunch and check out syns online for Weather spoons at night. I don't really like crisps so no problem there and I will defo take in 2 hifi light choc bars as my chocolate fix :)

SW is a healthy eating plan. It is not a diet. Eat as normal on SW and then take it as a flexi meal and eat what is on offer. After the meal go back to SW immediately. Do not deprave yourself. You will get invited to loads of parties in the future. You can not take a flexi meal every day, but once a month is not going to hurt you. Most important! No guilt about the flexi meal. Enjoy it for what it is and then move on with SW as normal. Best is to accept these flexi meals into your life so you can deal wth them once you are on target. You will need to eat SW for the rest of your life, but you can not shut yourself away from everyone else. You need to socialise and enjoy yourself now and then.
 
Just want to add that you need to do what works for you and enjoy your night.
