Disasterous day yesterday...

#1
I knew yesterday would be hard as it was work's Christmas party, but it went really wrong.

In the day I really hurt myself at work and though 'life is for living ' went out bought my fave junk foods and ate. Got home and ate everything I've missed by being on SS+, basically junk.

Then thought 'well I'll ne safe to drink in the works party' so in the evening drank and drank and ate SO much carby fatty buffet food.

I'm not worried about getting back on the wagon. I'm worried that I've not changed at all and will put it all back on when I get to goal.

I'm so annoyed at my lack of self cpntrol. It took one event for mr to use as an excuse to stuff my face. Aaargghhhhhh so dissapointed:sigh:.

hiya

you're still only a few weeks into the diet and change will come gradually over time. we all need to find another outlet for these emotions. you just need to find yours :) today i'm bored to death. my daughter and son both have chicken pox and i'm stuck in the house. i can't get to the gym and i'm watching kids tv. all i can think about is what i can eat. i'm not eating but that is what is going through my mind.

You need goreygirl to come on here to reply - she always manages to give really uplifting advice and In a really positive way.

This probably won't come across right but I'm sure you'll get what i'm trying to say - Don't beat yourself up or get angry with yourself, its done it happened - try and put it behind you and move on - you've done great so far. Try and remember how you feel now so that the next time you are tempted you can remember that feeling, hopefully before you eat.

Keep going ;-)

Hiya.. just wondered because 'greatthings' put "can't get to the gym" in her post.... I'm on SS and have been told you shouldnt go to the gym till you're on at least step 3? thoughts? xx

no, you can go to the gym but within reason. you've got to give yourself a head start on the diet first and then gradually increase your exercise. light exercise first.

Bubble you can go to the gym, just start gently and increase the amount you do. Its not good to go hell for leather when just starting CD. But just go easy. Cambridge do not say no excercie until step 3. So go for it exercise it good for you and will help you to lose and maintain your weight. x
