Do u total syns daily or weekly??

So far today only had 5.5 syns. Really fancy a curly wurly for 6 syns, but been at 14.5 syns a couple of days earlier in the week so was going to try and stick to 8 for the next couple of days to average it out to about 11 as my leader said I should start with 10 syns a day (only on day 6). Never done this before, wha do you think. I've never gone over 14.5 syns a day though.

Do you wipe a clean slate the next day and as long as you stay under the 15 then accept that or do you try and compensate on other days???

As I'm new to this I'm trying to see what's best to get a good weight loss.

I do both .. then there is no stress!

Total and is 105 a week. Slowly chip away at it each day. Aim to hit 15 each day .. if your under no problem.

Then can still plan for a treat. . A weekly bottle of wine or nando whatever! Take those off in advance. .

Simples!
 
I do daily so I'm not tempted to have a big blow out cos I've not used syns on other days! I don't have many usually, 3 so far today, 2 yesterday I think, sometimes up to 8 or 9. It does mean that I don't worry quite so much if I eat at someone elses about how it's cooked if it's still a SW friendly meal or if I have a day slightly over. So I guess I kinda do weekly in a way.
 
Hello and welcome along. Personally, I don't think there's a perfect formula for syns and you will get different feedback from different members. This is because what works for one, doesn't necessarily work for everyone else. Therefore, it really is a case of trial and error as you learn what does and doesn't work for you.

For example, many members swear by the weekly syns rule and say it works just great. Others try and don't get on with it and find they have to stick to a daily allowance. You need to find what works best for you.

Again, some members will say go for the full 15 syns per day and see how you get on. Some have them all the time and still lose consistently some need to have a bit less and have around 10. What I would say is don't be too restrictive on your syns in the early days as you will have nothing to cut back on as you get closer to target.

Don't worry too much, it is early days and it will take some time to feel confident in what you are doing, but trust in the plan, it really does work.

I'm a daily syn girl, and have the full fifteen, rarely have less, it's working and now only 2lb to target. The full fifteen work for me, but then I have a very active job and also do at least four hours of exercise a week, so maybe that's why I get away with using all fifteen syns? I have never tried weekly syns so don't know if this would work for me, but it seems to work for plenty of people on here. Maybe try a few different ways, different amount of syns etc and see not what only works for you but also what your able to maintain for your weight loss journey. For example my weight loss may have been quicker with less syns but im also pretty sure that I wouldn't have stuck to plan this long either and therefore not meeting target. And anyway, I don't think I'm taking that long, if I manage to lose those last two pound at next weigh n then it would have taken me 26 weeks, exactly six months to lose two and a half stone, and more moor tartly with four weeks left to go till my holliday, which was my weight loss goal.

Daily Syns all the way. I try not to go over 12 Syns in one day otherwise it effects my losses.
 
I always do daily syns! I average out at about thirteen a day but regularly go right up to the fifteen and it hasn't affected me whatsoever yet x
 
Daily, if I need weekly I would more than likely binge on one day
 
Daily for me. I know that I wouldn't have the will power to do it weekly, i would end up binging and then feeling deprived on the other days because I don't have any/enough syns. If I go over my syns, I just draw a line under it and don't reduce them for the next few days, that wouldn't work for me.

I decided from day 1 that this was a plan for life, so had to make sure it fitted in with my lifestyle
I go to the pub night after WI
I will drink maybe 40 syns that night, (im a beer drinker) and use what I have remaining over the week, but that means some days I use none at all if I go out another night
I just know I wouldn't have stuck to plan if I could only have 1.5 pints each night, I would feel deprived, the whole reason behind syns is so you're not deprived
You just need to work-out what fits your life style best
 
I socialise a lot so use mine weekly or ill go insane! Lol would hate to feel left out when I go out for a night out and only drink 15 syns and be as sober as a judge lol I need atleast 35 syns for a night out and I love a take away with the other half and a proper cooked dinner on a Sunday so I have no problem going very low syn/ syn free most of the week and enjoy those days and still get a loss :) everyone is different x
 
I usually try and stick to 10 a day and that allows for me to flexible with the 35 left over (to make it up to 15 a day) so if i have an off day or go to a party etc i can eat a bit of what i fancy xx
 
If I'm honest, many days I don't actually know how many I've had :rolleyes: Like today, I had a meringue nest for 1 syn and then a biscuit, didn't know how many syns it'd be but I know I'd be well under 15 as that's all I've had syn wise today.
 
Thanks for all your help. I tried to stick to 10ish last week as per advice from leader. A couple of day I did creep up to 14.5. But had my first weight los tis morning and .... 4.5 lbs. Well chuffed. Still can't believe I ate so much food!!!!
