Hi Kate,

If your doing the diet 100% then this is jut fluid retention which is common and is only temporary.

It is usually caused around totm and some can retain as much as 5 to 10lbs.

Put it down to hormones:)

Yep, offical camel here - the worst I have retained despite SSing was nearly 2 stone!!! :eek: I was gutted, but my Dr told me to keep knocking back the water, and it would come off :)

Try to up your water intake a bit, and see if that helps :)

Your taking all your packets and drinking your water?

Even if it is not gone for this week's weigh in, it will come off as you do lose weight on a vlcd.

I go more by the monthly loss than the weekly one.

I know it is so rewarding to see the scales move each week as it feels well this is our reward for being good:)

But there is a danger of letting the old chatter box have its way if the scales don't move...sometimes when the weight seems to be at a stand still you will notice you have dropped in inches, this is why it is good to know your measurements from the start.

Was going to ask simular question, i was weighed on saturday for the first time and totm arived yesterday. I dont normally suffer with cramps and back pain but terrible with it this time could it have eny thing to do with cdss? and also hope it does not affect next weigh in too much:sigh:
