Then you must watch this...

BBC iPlayer - Dead Fat

... Watched it last night, there are scenes of a dead obese person being cut up, but it has opened my eyes to exactly why I am losing weight. I understand why I've not felt the same since becoming fat, and I think a big part of it is what I am doing to my poor vital organs...

... A must watch, really really eye opening and motivational!!! But also gross so enter with a strong stomach!!!

I daren't watch it!!

But that's an excellent point, most of us focus on what we can see - in the form of how fat we (think) we look, results of tests (heart rates, cholesterol etc.) but visceral fat (the fat that gets in your organs) is the real killer.

I have scales that measure my visceral fat and they're brilliant (although I swear they overestimate my body fat %).

I don't think I should watch it either but its very true we all think about the fat we can see on the outside. We all forget the fat which is in the inside.
