Step 1 Sole Source Do you still go into ketosis on SS+

Just a quick question? My consultant told me you only go into ketosis on SS??? In the book it doesn't say this?? Thoughts please???

Yes, you should still go into ketosis on SS+ as it is technically still a VLCD ( anything under 800 calls per day is considered. a VLCD) and your carbs are still severely limited.... Under 30g of carbs a day and a diet is considered ketogenic!
Loads of different theories.... But the answer is the same!

I deffinatly have all the symptoms bad breath, lots of energy, not hungry but surely your consultant should know?? Thanks for the info though that's what I thought too xx

I was still in ketosis on step 2 its only above that when you introduce more carbs that you aren't.
