Doc says no

Hi All
Decided to go back to the doctors today and ask him if I could go back on xenical. To my dismay he told me that he could not prescribe it as it had been removed from sale.
Is this true? Or is it just that stocks are low.

Definitely not removed from sale as our local Co-op pharmacy has stock at present. There is none being manufactured by Xenical but another company Teva are manufacturing. All seemed to happen around the time Xenical lost the 5 year patent thing meaning others can produce. I wonder if the Dr thinks its easier to say no than him get hassle when his patients can't get it. All sorts of rumours have been flying about but as I say our Co-op have stock that came in last week from Teva. Try again I say but before you do it may be worth seeing if you'd be able to fill your script locally. Good Luck x
