Doner Kebab....Dukan Style

    This was on a friends facebook page as a Slimming world recipe. But its all dukan friendly. We could make a galette as the pitta alternative and load it up.

    I made this once while I was on slimming world. It was really nice but I overcooked it slightly. Would be lovely with dukan BBQ or Sweet Chilli sauce.

    why the bump, is it to keep it in your view Monty LOL. I made this last night for tea and had it with the BBQ sauce. Oh My Yum.....definately having again. I think I'll make a few of these in advance and freeze, I used turkey mince, but it still came out very solid and the outer edges were very crispy.

    I love the idea of just making it a shape and putting onto a tray, don't cook it in a loaf tin, as you need to keep turning it.

    Well I made three more of these today, used turkey mince for one and beef for the other two, the third one I didn't use the same seasoning i used cajun and garlic. The beef ones shrunk far more than the turkey one.

    I only used 200g portions of mince for each one though. to be honest it wouldn't matter how much mince you use, so long as you make sure its well kneeded and no air pockets, then shape it and cook it. It holds together really well, and the outside on both meats is crispy. Don't worry if it looks burned, thats tasty too

    I do like mince, and it saves having to make bolognaise all the time LOL.

    they look so yummy, making me salivate and hungry. I am def going to try these tomorrow for dinner.

    Yes dukannotsofatty, I bumped it cause I want it in my view for when I want to make it!

    The Garlic mayo is just
    1 egg yolk
    1 tbsp dijon mustard but I use wholegrain
    salt and prpper
    1 tbsp chives
    3 tbsp natural yoghurt, fromage frai or quark
    a clove of garlic xxx enjoy

    Just made this and I must say it was very nice, even hubby said I could make that again! Had it with the garlic mayo and have decided I must be I wimp. . . It made my eyes water lol. Bit less mustard next time me thinks!!!

    Its all a matter of taste LOL, try different mustards as well, I like french mustard because its not strong but has a nice taste. Dijon is nice with fishy things.

    Hmm I was surprised at how much it did shrink, but as a stand by its still very tasty LOL, I'll make it with turkey mince most of the time i reckon, unless I'm doing a larger portion one, for the whole family, cos I think DH and DD would eat it too.

    Mummy its on my weekly menu as I love it so much, so tasty give it a go it wont disappoint xxx
