Don't seem to be losing much - any tips?

I have stayed the same this week again and I really don't understand it. I've had one flexi evening , but other than that have stuck to it 100% and written everything down. I'm also walking loads.

I have done the plan about 3 times before and have lost at least 1 or 2 pounds a week and I don't think I've ever stuck to it as well as now before!!!


Any tips?

Hiya Mrs AH, very early on in my slimming world journey, I had to cut back on mullerlight, and bananas I restrict myself to only one of each a day now, thats when I am following the plan properly! another thing that can slow things down, is eating the same things all the time, I guess what you need to do is look closely at your choices hth, :)

Hi there, what about going thru your book and eating lots of speed/super speed foods. I find cutting down of bananas and grapes help me to have better losses too! Also, make sure you are drinking enough. Are you eating regularly and enough? little and often keeps your metabolism going!

I'm sure it will soon shift!

Hi Mrs AH, i also have to limit how many bananas i have and i won't eat too much bacon as i can make you retain fluids because of the salt (apparently), it's sometimes trial and error to start with. Keep going and it will all come right. xxx

Hi

Are you drinking a lot of drinks with caffeine in? They can stop your loosing weight. Also, are you actually eating enough? The more free food you eat, the more you lose. How many syns are you having?

Maybe try filling out an SAS Log ask your consultant for one. Apparently they pick up on everything even things you may have over looked that you thought you were doing right. There is no harm in giving it a go you never know.

There was one lady went to my old group and she swore blind she was doing it 110%. She was getting madder and madder as the weeks went on and then started blaming the scales. Then when the consultant asked her what she has for breakfast as an example she said Sugar Puffs and when asked how much Sugar Puffs she has she said I dont weigh them I never have then she added that she has been told by her doctor to have prunes every day to help her bowel movements which she had not been counting as syns either.

I am not saying you are are like her but somethimes when you think you are doing it 100% your actually not its best to double check everything and always weigh your Healthy Extras.

I remember when i did SW years ago when fruit wasn't free i think it was like a healthy extra or something, well one week consultant told us that fruit was now free so we could eat as much as we wanted, one lady who had always lost good amounts every week came back 1 week after and she'd put on 4lbs, consultant asked her what she thought had gone wrong, she swore that she'd been doing it 100%, she sat down and when consultant came around to her she asked her to go through everything she'd ate, she told us she'd had lots of ham, chicken, apples, veg and cadburys chocolate oranges which she though was free as they were a fruit, we couldn't stop laughing even she laughed when consultant explained that they don't count as free fruit, we can only wish can't we. Lol. xxx

Thanks, I have had a few days when I ate more than 1 banana so will cut that out. I may also try to have a few red days this week as I've been having all green. Hopefully that may help! :)

Thank you all for your replies -
Space Angel - I am drinking quite a lot of coffee, I didn't realise this could affect my loss, thinking about it when I was preggars and cut out all caffeine I lost loads of weight unintentionally. Will def cut back this week and see!

Also, I'm having between 5 and 15 sins a day as I stayed the same a few weeks back and was advised to have more sins.

Sonban - don't go to group but have book and do weigh everything but will make sure I double check in book to see I am following correctly, thanks.
