Dr says no

    My Dr won't let me have xenical. Im gutted.:sigh:

    my doc wouldnt let me have xenical either - he gave me reductil instead.

    says he didnt think i would "cope" with xenical what does that mean :mad:

    OOOOhh thats strange cos i went to docs wanting reductil and he wouldnt give them to me and gave me xenical. BUt i guess each patient is different

    I heard reductil can cause depression and even sucidal, i would rather s**t my pants then feel that low. My doctor gave me xenical over reductil. Each case if different i guess, keep your chin up x

    i agree with Red! (lol)..
    seriously, maybe you could see a different doc? I just went to see a nurse at my gp surgery and she spoke to doc for me and he agreed.

    yeah defo go again i didnt get mine till the 3rd visit and i saw a different doctor

    Aw chin up Hunny my first doctor refused to give me Xenical too - he also said I'd never make a size zero model but would make a good farmers wife cos i'd get a lamb under my arm!

    Try speaking to one of the practice nurses - we have a specialist weight management programme now.

    He said the statistics of xenical and weight maitainence weren't great, so that's the reason he wouldnt let me have them. He said Id be better of joining a slimming class.

    i think you can buy them online... not sure it's something i'd do, and not really sure how reputable the source... but i'm sure other people do it? :eek:

    Have you tried looking at the over the counter Alli?

    oooh yes.. alli would be a good choice i think... it's half the strength, but still works really well so i've heard! x

    i know!!! its a r8 ripp off!... aparently thats what it costs the nhs to buy them too!....alothough dont quote me on it i just going on what my mummy said and shes a nurse so i just believed her haha

    While i was in dubai i had a cheeky word with one of the pharmasist in one of the big posh malls and they were selling a months supply.. of xenical........... over the counter for..... £48 quid!!

    oooh that's about the same price as alli isn't it! still makes it expensive, but a lot more 'do-able' than UK prices!
