On Saturday night has totally thrown me off plan for the whole week! I planned on counting how many vodkas I had & taking it out of my pro points but that didn't go to plan at all! I drunk so so much, I was sick as a dog the next day! So obviously all I wanted to eat was grease & stodgy foods! I just haven't managed to get back into it, and it's only my second week *embarassed* my new week starts tomorrow so back on plan!! Alcohol is the devil when it comes to dieting lol x

I know i always have great intentions on a night out counting my drinks but after one or two that goes out the window so usually just right off my weeklies and start again as soon as i can, hopefully you wont have done any damage at weight in just stick to dailies until then

Alcohol is a struggle for me also (no, I don't actually have a drink problem though) I really enjoy a strongbow but at 7pp a can it is hard to fit in and its the only thing I do drink. I don't drink any shorts but I do enjoy a drink after a 12hr shift even if its "Just a can" And if I do actually go out for a drink well, all weeklies gone as well as a couple of days lost lol

yes alcohol is bad!!I love lager and wine well anything really lol but will stick to vodka but it is the next day or two I had to many tues night and I,m still stuffing my face:sigh:

I'm a proper beer, cider and alcopop lover but changed to vodka as it's less points but it makes me soooooo drunk so the points I save, I use on eating my own body weight in carbs the next day!!! SLIPPERY SLOPE! So now I just choose to be designated driver when I can!

I am so glad I do not drink, I completely understand the struggle and am greatful I do not have to face this struggle along with the food struggle. Once a week should be okay though, right? Being the designated driver is actually a very good tip. :)

Drinking has set me back the last 2 weeks :( it's not so much the drink as the food I like to line my stomach before I start, food on the way home, then food to nurse the hangover the next day... :)

Same! I never used to have food on the way home but have got into the habit of it. Then hangover food the next day... So annoying! I'm going to knock that on the head as my weight has gone up and it'll keep going up if I don't pack the food thing in! (By that I mean not have takeaways the next day etc not pack food up ok general! Ha!)

ahh alcohol is the worst for killin points!!
but at least u drank vodka which is low in points compared to cider etc.. so cud have been a lot worse!

I'm in this dilemma. Have my xmas party on the 21st and I used to drink vodka but I just got so baloobaaahed that I had to stop drinking it. The hangover was absolutely horrendous!
So I switched to wine / long neck beer... But I'm thinking for the sake of the diet I might just go to vodka again...
Any good food advice for pre drinking?
Also I heard milk thistle is good for a hangover

Milk thistle is a liver aid , don't know the effect on the actual pain of a hangover though. Def use it to protect your liver tho hon

Have a pint of water and 2 ibuprofen when you get in. Also try drinking water throughout the night too. Hangover is all about being dehydrated isn't it - so try and limit that side of things x

Speaking to my trainer today and he was talking to me about the effects of alcohol on your body. He said he'd rather me eat a piece of chocolate cake than have alcohol.... Well if that's what the trainer says! (But I'm sure it was just to put it into perspective :( )
