Drinks v Flapjacks ??

I have 2 drinks everyday with a coconut bar for lunch (love them - I must be weird).

I am losing every week but not massive amounts like some people. I just wondered if people who are having all drinks are getting better weight losses than those of us who have a bar?

I think there are more cals in the bars - does this make a difference? :confused:

I've neverhad a flapjack so I wouldn't know -the calorie diff isn't massive so I cant imagine the weight loss being affected too much. As long as you lose a stone a month you're dping brilliantly. Stick with what works for you!

I have 3 shakes everyday and i will NEVER have a flapjack again (only ever had one in my second week.)

I tried them and got quite used to the taste (I thought they were rank at first)
I gave them up coz I DID think my losses were a bit less on them.
I'm (just about) surviving on my three shakes now.

Thanks Cathy, it has been crossing my mind now for the last two weeks that maybe I could be losing a bit more. I've been looking back at old posts and people who are losing loads never seem to mention having the bars.

I will hang on in with the bar at lunchtime and see how I get on next week, if I slow down it may have to be goodbye to the bars. They are just so handy when you are at work though.

Exactly, I loved having something to nibble, it used to last about half an hour as well, which was good.
I used to have a small bottle of fizzy water with it, to help it go down.
I might have another go soon, just to check!

I think that for LT/LL the bars are higher in cals than the shakes/soups (dont know about CD, if they have bars?)

for me, I know that as soon as I can have bars, I'll be having 1 a day from Mon to Fri, as it's far easier at work than making soup/shake, especially now I've found out you need to use a blender to get no lumps!

Weekends will be bar-free though.
I think that the difference in loss will be marginal - we are only talking about 10's of calories, I think.


If all else fails, have a bar and get off the bus home 3 stops early for a bit of a walk! (my plan!) :D

Hi Pete - that's a good idea about weekends, I think I will try that this week. Good luck with the rest of your first week - it will be so worth it on your first WI.

I have to say, the first meeting does seem to be quite far away right now (Friday night), but I'm sure the week will fly by.
And with me going in on Wednesday to get 3 more day's worth of packs and have a quick weigh-in/how are you doing kinda thing, I think the week will feel nice and broken up :)
