Eating out an sticking to plan?

Yesterday I made the mistake of forgetting to put a bar in my bag! After 6hrs since my breakfast shake I was in desperate need of food!

Was out with family who were all keen to eat out but knew I couldn't! Everyone was starving!

Then I spotted a carvery and thought bingo!!
They had a lovely Sunday roast which they all enjoyed whilst I had a couple of slice of turkey and some cabbage which may be not as appetising as theirs but I felt like I was having a treat and enjoying the social event of eating out! Although I had water, they had wine!

So got me thinking...

Has anyone found great restaurants that they can go to but still stay on plan?

I ate out all last week, in a variety of places.

I just ask for plain protein, no sauces and if I fancy veg or salad.

I had chicken breast grilled from bella itallia, burger place did me a fresh chicken breast. I had lean Bacon another morning. Curry place did me grilled chicken.

Just ask and they usually bend over backward xxx
