    Hi Emma! welcome to the boards. Sorry to hear things are hard right now. I hope they get better for you soon. Best thing to do is just have a look around these boards, I think I read a vegetarian section has started recently as well. You'll find lots of inspiring stories and fab people on here. Well done on taking the first step!

    Welcome :D

    I'm so sorry things ended with your boyfriend... I'm really glad to read your reasons for deciding to lose weight, I feel that you are making this lifestyle change for yourself. I would be very sad if I got a vibe that you're doing it in the hope of getting your boyfriend back. Whether you guys reconcile or not is not relevant for your weight loss.

    If you do it for yourself, for the right reasons, you will succeed :)

    My advice would be to allocate yourself 10 mins each day to log an entry here and read other diaries. I have found the support, encouragement and tips here invaluable. You can do it, and we will all help you ;)

    I don't really know much about veggie cooking, I'm sure a search on this site will yield some delish recipes.

    You mention you're off to uni..I know how hectic uni is, so a bit of advice for your meal plans... plan plan plan in advance. I don't know what your timetable will be, but chances are you'll spend a lot of time during the day in the canteen/coffee dock with friends... you can still do this, but bring a healthy lunch with you... you'll not only be saving cash, but you'll also know exactly what you're eating so no nasty surprises on weigh in day.
