    hi im new to slimming world (have done ww before on and off ) and joined a class on Wednesday 8/1/14 so in my first week :):)eek:) my weigh in day will be Wednesday nights .im a mum of 2-(5yrs old and 2yrs old) im 25 years old and I currently weigh 15st6lbs which although iv never been tiny is the heaviest iv ever been and I am soo determined to not keep putting on weight and to get it back down by at least 4st which iis why im here :) well im also a newbie to minimins but it looks like great place to meet people in same situations :), once I learn how to use it all :) lol so....HI:):)x

    Hi and welcome!

    Do you know which plan your doing? I only do EE, but completely forget other people do green and red! My weigh in day is also Wednesday, so I'm subbing to see how you get on, have you tried this or a different diet before?

    Hi Carley, I also started off in ww and lost quite a lot of weight but felt very restricted with the food choices (points) so much so the more weight I lost the more I started to binge especially on crisps. I started slimming world last year and it seemed too good to be true diet wise but it really does work. This website is great for new cooking ideas and the support is great. Good luck with your first weigh in, I hope its a big loss for you...let us know how you get on :)

    thank you everyone think all is going well so far wont know for certain until Wednesday suppose:) yes Samantha that's my down fall crisps !! not had any so far but if I do in future ill change them to the low syn ones like French fries:)
    hi llamasoks yes im doing ee too - done this diet once before but only couple weeks mainly iv done weight watchers ...but my mum losing weight too and joined sw so I joined with her to give it ago :) how are u both doing on the plan?xx

    Sounds like you've got a good support there then! I like EE, it is in fact quite easy, I struggle at weekends only because my OH is a demon and brings delicious food and I have no willpower (why I'm big in the first place!), but that's going to stop as I've flicked him around the ear and told him off!.

    How are you finding it?

    Crisps are def the worst for me, if I open a big bag I will eat the lot so I try to avoid them as much as possible. On Saturday night I had a small 40g tube of Pringles for 10.5 syns, I could have easily ate at least another one but thankfully I only bought the one. Weekends are def harder when ur socialising an having a drink tho :-(

    I'm vegetarian so I follow the green plan, I love my SW chips, noodles, pasta and rice so it's ideal for me :) I do eat quorn

    I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on at weigh in on Wednesday, fingers crossed it's a biggie :) :)

    lol u will have to send him in garden to eat the goodies:)haha.....yea finding it quite easy at moment going shopping tomorrow so can stock up on some free foods and also start tryng some of the recipes iv seen on here :).....weekends are not too bad as I work but as im a carer I drive round to different houses so its just trying to find the time to make sure I eat properly ,whereas before id eat nothng all day and then make the wrong choices after work ...will be ok just need to make sure I plan properly for the weekends :)x

    Tempting, might make him a naughty step outside - can you just picture it, sitting in the cold eating biscuits in secret?! :p

    There are some absolutely delicious recipes floating around, I haven't even tried all the ones I wanted yet, there's too much choice!

    Hi and welcome. I to am a newbie and not yet had my first weigh-in. Extra easy is definately the plan for me as I need to see food on my plate. Loads of information on here. Good luck

    Hi, I'm new to sw too. I'm a vegan so only doing green days. Not sure I'm eating enough though. I have read that you have to use you healthy extras and syns. Is it true that you lose weight the more you eat? I'm having my first weigh in on Saturday. I'm going it alone too.

    Hi Skabs, I don't like dairy products and follow green too :) you're better trying to use your syns to make the diet more manageable long term. As we don't have any HEA we can eat 2 HEB's a day, it's recommended you use them as it helps with fibre etc. Good luck for your first weigh in, let me know how you get on :)

    Hi Samantha, thanks for your advice. I've only lost a pound, bit disappointed as I thought I'd lose more. Will definitely eat my syns and healthy extras this week and eat and drink more. I'm just afraid if I eat treats, I won't stop. Going to use my syns on sauces etc as I don't want to binge so early on. Hopefully next week my loss will be a little higher. X

    Hi Carley well done for joining up! That's a really good loss for your first week and if you keep that up think how fast you'll get to target. :)
    You say your a carer and really busy I'm a nurse sometimes don't get time to eat a full lunch so I've started making up tipper wares of mixed fruit so I can just pick and sort of graze all day. That could be quite good for you stuck in the car. I also have like a banana or orange as I'm on my way put of the house. Good luck to you hope you keep it up :)
