Well this weekend has been horrible. Instead of really enjoying the time off work I am pacing around sooooo bored and fed up I am actually looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday. All my friends are out having fun, I was invited but it;s hardly fun watching other people eat and drink so instead I've been stuck inside all weekend with nothing to do. I am so fed up with this diet, the end seems bloody miles away and I feel like giving up as I have no life anymore.

Sorry... I'm feeling soooo miserable. :(

Hey PB - nothing in the diet says you can't go out and be around your friends!! ;) :) You don;t need to give up your life to do this - and it is not as hard being around people that are eating - they are usually done in 20-30 minutes anyway, so its a matter of grinning and bearing it. And it does get easier each time. Just bring a long crisps, or a bar or something and have yours there.

Sorry you are feeling so blue - you should go out and do something fun tomorrow, or a quick walk this evening - a few bits of daylight left!

Try to find something to take your mind off it. :)

    Good luck

    X

yes very annoying aren't they. It feels worse this weekend as it's been a long one and I've not really had anything to do.

Totally and utterly empathise with you honey!

I turned down a major all day sesh as I just did not want to sit around drinking still or bloody sparkly water when everyone else is getting trollied........I felt a little hard done by last night, but today I've found things to do.......played daft games with the kids, hunted out a few DVD's I haven't watched in ages, and now its evening.....
I'm going to have a looooong bath, put a ton of fake tan on, and generally pamper myself rotten......

I bloody hate work at the moment, but I am actually looking forward to getting back on Tuesday and getting back into a routine again.....

Thankfully the next big weekend won't be until the end of May and then at the end of August sometime and by then we should be at our goal weights or as near as dammit!

Keep your chin up and keep looking forward!

    (((((hugs))))))

I guess I am lucky in that I don't drink. I maybe have 4 or 5 drinks a year. Don't like it that much, don;t like the cost of it, nor the feeling of being drunk/hungover, so thats a bit of a non-issue for me.:D

I quite like being the only sober one really....I have great stories to tell the next day!! :rotflmao: It has never bothered me to be sober with drunks. Unless they are sloppy or beligernat drunks.

But anywya - just a gentle reminder - we all CHOSE to do this diet, knowing it would be tough. So we then choose how we do it - staying in, or going out and adapting. But I just disagree with the belief you have to put your life on hold for it - I would just worry that will casue you unnecessary unhappiness while going through the process.

I might feel different if I were d rinker I suppose, but probably not.

Hang tough - the day is nearly over, and you can give yourselves a good pat on the back for sticking to your guns and getting through it. :)
    xx

Thanks Lola. Thats a really nice thing to say. :) I haven't thought of it actually, because I think I am the worst reference for weight loss success - or at least I thought that until LL.....it has definately turned my life around, and the way I think!! And now I know I can do it. But its a relatively new feeling for me!! ;)
