Ahh shinymoon - that was me up until yesterday, I couldnt see how i could get back on track and was self-sabotaging.
Today I have woken up and realised yes - I can do this! I have decided not to spend any more time thinking about how bad i have done, but instead focus on what good i can do moving forwards.

    --------------------------------------

Here is your line. Its drawn! cross it and dont look back

chin up hon. you can do it xx

This is my 5th week and I caved in to TOTM cravings last Thursday with a KFC and chocolate and milk bottles, but I got right back on track the day after and been doing extra exercise to compensate.

Dont ever think your failing at anything, because we all struggle at times, and all sabotage ourselves.

So you just need to get back on your pony, and take control of the reins, and do things to make up for the stuff you have given in to. Like I have gone for walks, as I am disabled and limited to what i can do, but walks is one thing I can do, so thats what I do! I feel like I am helping to undo the damage I may have done by taking control, even tho, taking control is sometimes the hardest thing to do, especially for me as I am a diagnosed binge eater, I know I can control it, no matter how hard, and I know you can to. Just have faith in YOU!! YOU can do this hun!! :)

Well done on your weightloss shinymoon, 10 lbs is really good :) Im in my 5th week too and ive really been wanting to binge on all the wrong foods. ive given in a couple of times and then gone without my next meal cos due to fibromyalgia i cant exercise my naughtyness off. You have a good reason chic with being TOTM, i dont even have that excuse. Hope those awful cravings go away soon and you get back on track. 4 weeks out of 5 equates to 80% and would be an A* in most exams. Good luck :) x x

Hey Daisy I have M.E and I do very gentle walking, how bad is your FM? Sometimes on a good day, I can manage to do anything 20 mins up to an hour (on a good day I try to go somewhere nice like the woods) , depending on the weather, as cold and wet makes my legs terrible. On bad days I try and force myself to do a small amount of walking, but sometimes only manage 5-10 mins (around the block usually)but I have to use two sticks, to help me on these days, and sometimes I get away with one stick and holding on to my partner.

I have considered getting a tread mill for my bad days so I can walk inside where its warmer, as warmth is defo affecting how well I feel, cold makes me feel awful. Could you do anything at home, like walk around the house?

Hi :) well my FM is pretty bad really and in winter time when its cold and damp it just gets worse so im afraid exercise is a no no to help weight loss efforts. The only thing ive found that truly helps is hot dry climates (not hot and humid though)then i can walk around a bit and pain reduces. I do potter about in the house quite a bit cos otherwise my joints just ceaze up. keeping away from wheat products really seems to help me with the FM symptoms too. So sorry to read you have CFS, its a similar thing to FM isnt it. Ive enjoyed reading your posts on here over the past few weeks and didnt realise we had more than wanting to lose weight in common. :) so many battles to fight and conquer :D easier to do it with others though. x x

((( ))) hun star week is a pain but we can't advoid it cause its a part of life and no matter what we do at star week we often still gain.
i've worked my butt of this week done loads of exericise but i'm looking like i've gained a lb but if i'm lucky it will come off next week. but its ok cause i can't control it and its still better than it would be if i wasn't on sw.
hun star week is often hard on us so its ok if we slip alittle u will be fine hun i'm sure

I was the same this month - I even managed to have 20.5 Syns yesterday!!

But I kept counting rather than not bother - I'm just reining it back in today!

Don't be sad, you have done SO well so far. An average of 2lbs a week is a sensible and sustainable weight loss. Lose it too quickly and it will all go back on. Slimming World's plan is a plan for life and you need to look at the long-term. I know it can be frustrating and sometimes you may want to back to old ways, but try and visualise how you want to - and will - look once the weight has come off. It is a powerful, positive thing to do.

I am going away for the weekend for a rare treat (have 2 young children) and I have decided I am going to eat and drink what I like and then go straight back on plan on Sunday. Remember, you didn't lose all your 10lbs in one day and you won't put it all back on in one day. Give yourself a break, a rest and stay motivated.

    You can do it!!! :D

Yeah M.E/CFS and FM are incredibly similar, like you the weather can effect me really adversley. Also like you hot dry climates are much better, when I was in Spain for two weeks I felt amazingly well. Last summer, I had a 6 week period where it was relatively dry and warm here and I felt so much better. I positively dread the colder wetter weather. I know it will make me I'll, and reduce my mobility substantially. Plus I don't know of your the same but because I have a supressed immune system, I get every bug going, I have had 3 chest infections and bronchitis since Xmas!

I unfortunately have neurological involvement as well, as the inflamation on my brain caused lesions, and damaged my balance centre, and can affect my memory and concentration, far worse than normal cfs patients. So some days I can't speak properly and land on my bottom regularly, vertigo is the pits lol

I am determined tho not to be a victim of my illness and live life as full as I can despite my limitations. It's so easy to become depressed when your chronically sick and let the depression rule your life, so that your only existing and life is far too short to allow that to happen.

It's nice to meet you daisy, and know we gave things in common! Good luck on your weight loss journey and I will look forward to reading how your getting on! :)

I had a really bad week too! Its only my second week!! I decided after weigh day yesterday to start again, to forget the bad week - It happened, I gained 1/2 pound BUT I realised quickly that if i let the cravings beat me then it was over. I started again, new week new way of thinking!

I hope you have a better week!!
