God, why am I beating myself up so much? None dieters do this and they don;t care, just get back to eating normally and then everything's ok again...me on the other hand, I'm scared to go to SW tomorrow as I know I've put loads of weight on this week.

As I've said in a different post, had a long weekend of fun, but it's all involved food. Yesterday evening, because it's too late to do anything about it, I scoffed my way through 8 choccy biscuits *sigh*
I feel out of control, to be honest :-(

You my not think your like every other dieter but you are!! Everyone beats themselves up at some point!! The only difference is that they can move on and accept it and now and you're going to do the same thing. Go to WI and move on. You can do it because you've come too far to lose control now.

    YOU CAN DO IT!!

    Scouzer. X

Firstly, your WI might not be as bad as you think.
Secondly, your feeling bad because you feel that you have let your self down probably.
    Thirdly, I love your avatar!

I had my birthday 2 weekends ago and when I got weighed in on Thursday I had gained a 1/2 pound. Every single person in my class had lost, I felt so demoralised and deflated, my first thought when I left was to go out and have few drinks, but I logged onto this site instead just to connect with others stories and I instantly felt better. I decided that night that I really didnt want to feel the same way on this weeks weigh in. I decided to give it 100% this week and just found out that I messed up, so I may well go to my class this week and not have lost anything at all after all the effort I had made. But we all make mistakes and will all have bad weeks and it is just about getting on the ladder again, I havent moved much on mine but I am on it and thats what counts, please stay on yours, you will go up and down it but as long as you stay on it you will not go wrong, good luck, if I could weigh in naked this week I would, wouldnt be pleasant for anyone else though!

Falling off the wagon now and again is just human. It happens to everyone now and again. The important thing is to not guilt-trip yourself about it, because feeling like that is not going to help you get back on.

Just take the plunge, and soon you'll be feeling great again.

Thanks girls, I hope you're right.

People often seem to think that cos I've lost a lot, it becauses easier, or that I know it all, or I'll find it simple to get back on track, but it makes no difference how much or how little you've lost - still feels that same inside.

I'll just have to bite the bullet and get back on track...

It doesnt get any easier no matter how much you have lost! You just have to want to loose the weight more. There will be times when you are tested and there are times when you fail, but there will also be times when you will beat these cravings.
As long as you face the scales rather than avoid them thats half the battle.

I don't know your personal history, but a lot of us have had years and years of being stuck in this bad food = feeling bad = more bad food circle, and no matter how far we come along the path, no matter how much we should know by now what to do, it just doesn't get any easier to break out of once you've fallen into it. It really is a vicious circle, so much so that it can feel impossible to get back on track.

It takes a huge mental effort, that initial decision - 'today, I'm going to eat well instead of badly'. It takes a lot to stick to that decision. But when you do, it suddenly all becomes much easier. You start to feel much better within a couple of days, and then before you know it, you're back in the groove. :)

Great advice - I'd tried to rep but have to spread the love.

BTW - I'm going through the same thing at the moment and hate going to class because having lost a lot of weight my class thinks I'm Superwoman or something and I sometimes feel like I'm not allowed to make mistakes or go off plan because I'm the Holy Grail of SW!!!

I did the same thing! For two weeks I didn't stick to the plan 100% and ended up putting on 4lbs which was a huge leap backwards considering I had only lost 7lbs overall! lol But i am determined to do it! So this week I've tried my hardest to stick to the plan and I've done more exercise this week than I've done in the past. So i'm hoping tomorrow at my weigh in I've lost some of the 4lbs i put on. :D Just keep the faith in the plan! It does work and it is hard work, but think of the benefits when you've lost the weight you want!

I've been off for three weeks and stuck on 9lbs so don't feel bad. I had to stell myself get on the scales and then really plan and focus...go back to basics essentially. I know that when i follow the plan i feel better in myself so i'm trying to focus on the good stuff.

Hi hun, try not to beat yourself up about it. This happens to us all, when you ate the biscuits that just reminded me of me lol. When i go off slightly i end up thinking well i've been a little bad , i may aswell be really bad, this thinking last night led me to half a cheesecake. I had a shocking weekend and am dreading weigh in tomorow. But we need to keep on going, decide when you want to start back plan, your head has to be in the right place, then plan out your sw friendly meals and get back on track, with pleanty speed foods. Come on hun, we can do this\!!!! xx

don't forget to let me know how you get on, Jester. I'll be posting mine after my four day break too!
You know what really cheered me up; the poster who said (I don't know who it was - it may have been on your other thread) that their consultant said our journeys were like bus journeys, and that sometimes we wanted to get out and stretch our legs before getting back on. I LOVE that idea. I'm going to go to weigh-in tomorrow, move on, remember my leg-stretching four days with fondness but vow to stay on the bus a lot more in future!
We're both dreading weigh-in tomorrow but the next time it's a good result, it will give us SUCH a high that it will make up for it all.
    Good luck! xx
