Fibre

Hi all, just a quick query: I did Atkins many years ago and lost around 5 stone - to cut a long story short that has all gone on and more. I have tried many other diets and have come to the conclusion that Atkins is the way forward again. When doing it before I always took off fibre from the carbs and used that to calculate my carbs intake. I was surfing these forums earlier for motivation and someone mentioned that you only do this for American products? Is this true?!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Marge and welcome back to Atkins and to being a label detective :)

Yep that's right - UK products already have the fibre taken out of the carb content - as you say, it's US products that you need to subtract the fibre to get the net carb count.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on :)
