First weigh in. This diet is amazing :-)

I had already lost 2 stone on my own personally designed diet before starting Cambridge but had reached a plateau and was finding it a huge struggle to shift any more weight. I started on Cambridge sole source on 24th August at 208lb and had my first weigh in at my counsellors house yesterday afternoon I was 199 lb. (on my own scales first thing I was actually 197lb)

I have 6 weeks until my sisters wedding where I am chief bridesmaid. I don't want to be embarrassed in the photos so fingers crossed I can see more big improvements by then.

My counsellor said the first week is the big one and that from here on it is likely that I will lose an average of 3lb per week. Do you think this is correct?

I am sticking to sole source rigidly despite being a bit sad that I can't enjoy a cuppa with milk anymore :-(

Well done on your weigh I too had my 1st weigh in this weekend and I lost 11lb.. I'm over the moon.. also doing sole source..

Is it tea or coffee you prefer? I had the same problem missing the milk.. BUT.. if its coffee you like here's a little trick..

Make up coffee with a little water and sweetener if you have it.. THEN get your vanilla shake.. make that up as a hot drink stir well... I find at this point getting a sieve helps.. pour the vanilla shake in to the coffee mix through the sieve to remove the lumps that haven't dissolved and hey presto.. you have a vanilla milky coffee and it's lush.. I tried it over the weekend and have now decided that I could make one vanilla pack last over 2/3 coffees through the day..

I had one this morning when I got up.. about 8ish.. and just finished my 2nd about half hour ago.. the bigger the mug the more water you could use to fill you up more.. also if you have the CD bars you could half of one of these to go with it and other half with the next :)

I will try your coffee tip, sounds fab... My counsellor just gave me some veg powder yesterday to mix with hot water. Apparently I am allowed two each day. Hopefully it will be okay.

I had me second weeks weigh in yesterday and was down 6lb meaning a total loss 15lb in two weeks. So happy :)

It is easier now and I have stopped missing food as much, the only tough part is socialising. I keep having to refuse offers of food and people can't seem to understand how important this diet is to me.
