Fish pie question?

    I made a sw fish pie last night, tastes lovely but the sauce split while in oven & wondered how to avoid this again? Made sauce with 5 Laughing cow light & 300ml skimmed milk & 2 fish cubes. If anyone can tell mr I'd appreciate it cause it takes the look off it.

    I've found the same thing when making cheese sauces, so now I prefer to syn some flour and butter and make it in the usual way. It doesn't work out that many syns when it's divided into 4-6 portions.

    Just out of curiosity, where do you buy fish cubes from and are they syn free?

    Yeah didn't put flour in cause of syns so is that why it split?

    Got them in Tescos, knorr do them. Yep syn free, the sauce tasted yum, v good flavor.

    Not sure if the flour stops it splitting but I just don't like the taste of "fake" cheese sauce.

    Agree totally but mine doesn't taste fake at all I must say, just doesn't look great lol

    I always do mine with laughing cows, water, grated carrot & celery with 2 tsp of corn flour(2 syns) and ive never had mine seperate :D
