fist week ss DONE!!

Hi everyone,

i just wanted to do a quick post to anyone out there struggling in their first week or thinking about starting the cambridge diet,

today is my weigh in day, i haven't been yet and am so nervous. Its been the toughest week of my life by far, I've had ups and downs, thrown a leftover easter egg at a bin in rage and cried and moaned. I can honestly say i haven't eaten anything other than my 3 cambridge products and drank bucket loads of water and i feel so proud! I have noticed a difference in my enegery levels (i have been getting up before my daily alarm) and i suddenly feel much more confident. I really feel in the right mind set to be doing this diet and i know when i have dieted before i just wasn't there.

So to everyone struggling do what i did a print off a picture of kim kardashian, stick it on you're fridge and believe in yourself! I honestly don't care if I've lost 4lbs or 10lbs! because i am so proud of myself for overcoming all the hurdles i faced during the week!

you can do it !!
 
Hi today is my second day on cambridge diet im finding it ok today but yesterday was hard.... id love to know how you get on at weigh in.... xx

Hi girls, Im new to this, started SS, on Day 3 today.....feeling not too bad but its the evenings I'm finding the hardest. I used to sit and munch while watching the tv....I need an alternative! Im hoping to lose 3 stone in 12 weeks - do you think this is possible? Im 12 stone 9, 5"5 x

Well done for getting through the first week, i am on day 8 was weighed yesterday! I have lost 8 pounds and i am so pleased... Makes all the hard work worth it! Hope you had a good loss but as you say any loss is one step closer to your goal. X

I know how you feel I have struggled myself even though I dont feel hungry theres so much I associate with food such as socialising, emotions and boredom! My best advice to you would be to keep busy, do whatever you can to take your mind off it... I have even resorted to going to bed early in the first few days just to get through it! Keep it up though and at your first weigh in you will feel amazing! Xx
 
Hi everyone, just joined today. I started the CD yesterday (on 3 shakes a day) and after a bad night woke up this morning feeling great, stll a bit hungry but I can make meals for my daughters without wanting to eat them LOL!

Seem to be at the toilet constantly though... :rolleyes:

I just hope I can lose the weight quickly, getting married at the end of November so would really like to lose a stone a month. Was absolutely mortified when the lady told me my BMI yesterday :sigh: xxx
 
ohhh just read the above post, I think thats a great idea Katy. Found it hard to get to sleep last night so I think ill head to bed a bit earlier today and it should make it more bearable xxx

Standrewsbride keep at it! They say first week is the hardest, i was shocked with my BMI too! Its gone down 2points in a week though and I am sure yours will too! You will have no problem in reaching your goal by nov as long as you stick to the plan 100%! Def try an early night it helped me lol. Did u mean u live near me or another member? X
 
thanks hun, I live near(ish) Sacha, was just wondering it we had the same CC(is that the right name for them?) as she travels :)

Had a dream (nightmare?) that I cheated on the diet last night and I felt awful lol, never stuck at anything before so really hoping this works xxx
 
Oh i see! i have seen people use cdc but cc is sure too i am fine! Oh yes, be prepared for dreams involving food I've had a few lol! X
 
LOL! Do you think you really do just stop feeling hungry after a while? xx
 
I don't feel hungry at all, I think its more how much food has been part of our lives, we spend so much time thinking about it, cooking it, eating it, munching on the sofa! Its more about breaking the habit of thinking that way.

For example: sat i was out shoppin with my boyfriend he was hungry so got lunch, i wasn't even hungry just annoyed he could eat and i couldn't and i made him eat in the car lol evil i know!

So for me personally its not hunger its about breaking a cycle of thinking about food n eating too much x

Yes when I stood on the scales on my first CDC visit I couldn't believe That so much weight could be crammed into such a short body..but it was!!
 
Yeh, thats true hun - my prob is I enjoy food, but its always the rubbish food which is why I have to do something like this that just cuts it out completely. I feel the same, luckily I dont eat meat so my OH can have as much of that as he likes but if he comes home with chips or a pizza I may well call the wedding off lol :p

My BMI was literally just under 40, my CDC said if it was over 40 she would have had to get my docs permission or something? Bloody awful, how on earth did I let it get so bad! :(

So glad you're all here to talk to, my friends don't agree with the diet so aren't v supportive xxx
