    Day 1 - Red day

    Breakfast

    Strawberry Mullerlight yogurt

    Lunch

    Jacket potato (HEX B) with cottage cheese (Sainsbury's BGTY pineapple)

    Tea

    Jacket potato (HEX B) with bolognaise sauce (1.5 syns for splash of red wine and tbsp of tomato puree)

    Extras

    2 apples, packet of ham, 250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A)

    Total Syns = 1.5

    Syns left for the rest of the week = 70 - 1.5 = 68.5

    Breakfast

    28g porridge oats made up with water (haven't got any Scanbran in at the mo so I'll have to fudge that bit for now) HEX B

    Lunch

    Ham salad, Aptivia fat free yogurt

    Tea

    Bolognaise sauce (1.5 Syns as yesterday) with jacket potato (HEX B), cauliflower and broccoli, Aptivia fat free yogurt

    Extras

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), 2 apples, grapes, ham, 125ml glass red wine (4.5 Syns)

    Total Syns today = 6

    Syns left for the rest of the week = 68.5 - 6 = 62.5

    Didn't really get around to having any - it was 11.30 before I sat down this morning... :)

    Lunch (at 11.30...)

    Cottage cheese salad, Aptivia fat free yogurt

    Tea

    Beef chilli (2 Syns) with large jacket potato (2 x HEX B) and carrots, Aptivia fat free yogurt

    Extras

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), 3 clementines, 1 apple, Aptivia fat free yogurt (hmm, better slow down on those!), packet of ham

    Total Syns today = 2

    Syns left for the rest of the week = 62.5 - 2 = 60.5

    Roast chicken with carrots and broccoli, roast potatoes (done with skin on SW Syn-free style using HEX B 227g potato)

    Tea

    1 oat bran (as part of Oatso simple HEX B), ham salad with 1 tablespoon of Heinz extra light salad cream (1 Syn)

    Extras

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), clementines, 2 x Aptivia fat free yogurt, strawberry sugar free jelly

    Total Syns today = 3

    Syns left for the rest of the week = 60.5 - 3 = 57.5

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), 2 clementines, 1 pear, 1 orange, 2 x 46g Cadbury's Caramel (19 Syns :D)

    Total Syns today = 22

    I'm sticking to mainly red days cos me and carbs have a love-hate relationship - I love 'em and they hate me... :D

    I'd forgotten how much fun SW could be. I'm loving doing all this cooking! :eat:

    Extras

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), apple, Cadbury's Caramel (9.5 Syns)

    Total Syns today = 17.5

    Syns left unused = 32.5 - 17.5 = 15

    Average Syns per day = 8 :cool:

    Wow - I did it! :winner: Made it through a whole 7 days! Here's hoping the scales are kind tomorrow :cross:

    The scales were indeed kind - 5lbs off! :D

    And so to Week 2...

    Cottage cheese salad with jacket potato (HEX B), Aptivia fat free yogurt

    Tea

    Beef stroganoff (6 Syns [smaller portion than yesterday]) with jacket potato (HEX B), carrots and an Aptivia fat free yogurt

    Extras

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), another apple and a pear

    Total Syns today = 6

    Syns left unused = 70 - 6 = 64

    Roast lamb, roast potato (HEX B - dry roasted with skin on), carrots and broccoli

    Oatso Simple (HEX B) with 2 Aptivia fat free yogurts

    Extras

    250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEX A), pear, ham, grapes and an apple

    Syns for the day = 0

    Syns left for the week = 35.5

    The only saving grace I s'pose is that I allow myself 70 of a possible 105 Syns...

    Syns for the day = 4

    Syns left for the week = -24 - 4 = -28

    Have (literally) eaten into my 'spare' 35 Syns. Won't be astonished if I haven't lost weight when I weigh in tomorrow - because having come off a VLCD, there's a strong chance I might gain anyway (if the last time I did this is anything to go by). But it's been wonderful to eat healthily for the past fortnight - and slow and steady wins the race, right? :)
