Fluids on Slim Fast

I have tea, coffee, diet fizzy drinks and sugar free squash. I think they all count towards your daily target - but I could the calories from my milk in my tea and coffee as 1 of my100 cal snacks

I'm not sure if fizzy pop counts, as you're not making it with water :S But squash and tea and coffee definitely count! :)

I'm not 100% sure, but I doubt you could count it as water, because it's all carbonated. Google it?

Ok I have a question.

I am really not a big drinker, I drink around 3-4 cups of machine tea (basically half a normal cup of tea per cup) and I have 1 glass of squash in the evening.

Is not drinking enough going to make a big difference to the diet? or do I need to start forcing some water down?

They recommend u drink plenty to help n to fill u up so I wud try to drink a bit more but if u find yr can't c if u hinders yr weight loss this will give u incentive to drink more I suppose Hun x

I drink water and pepsi max (better than diet, only 0.3. calories per can) I think the main reason for drinking so much is to help fill you up but i also thought that if you don't drink enough on a diet then it can hinder weight loss through water retention? I lost 6lbs on SF in a week a few weeks back through lots of exercise but the following week I stayed the same, I never drank much that week (headache on numerous occasions) and was told it was due to water retention ? Xxx

That makes sense. I was working in the pub last night and managed to get 3 pints of water down me last night. Everyone was shocked that I was drinking water, it is pretty unheard of ;)

Well done on getting the water down you. I think drinking water really does help weight loss...... if nothing else all the extra exercise as you run up and down the stairs to the loo all the time lol.
