I have just found out my Stepfather has prostate cancer.
There is very little screening etc for conditions like this, lots for female cancers but little or none for male cancers

*If you have ANY problems in your downstairs department PLEASE PLEASE see your GP*

My stepfather is very lucky, he was biopsied as part of a screening programme through his occupational health department. Now its time to decide which is the best treatment.

Nicky, thanks for posting this... and I'm sorry to hear about your Stepfather.

Like you said, your Stepfather has been fortunate to have it diagnosed quickly but not all men are lucky or even aware of such conditions...

I'm sure your family will support your Stepfather through this difficult and worrying time - you know we're here for support especially during the times you're being strong for your family and really you're not feeling so strong...
