How do you keep yourself on track? I've re-gained most of the weight I lost with CD when I started in march, been trying to get back on it on and off since june and i just cannot stay on it, my will power is awful. It's so true what they say about the first time being the golden time.

You have to talk yourself into it. It is a struggle. I am new to this type of weight management but not new to dieting. Take some time out for you and wrap your head around the idea of the program. You can do it, if I can anybody can but it is not a walk in the park. After you get to a certain point it gets much easier. Somedays I forget to have my shake. I don't get hungry like that even though from time to time I have mild cravings. Usually when I am tired. Wanting comfort I suppose.
    Hang in there!

I remember that point all too well, some days I would only end up having 2 shakes as I forgot as I just wasn't hungry. I wish I could get back to then!

    Thank you.

I had a three week break (started off on my birthday, and went downhill from there) I really struggled to get back into it. Then something just clicked. I'm now on day 6 and feeling good. I just keep thinking after all the hard work I had put in, I never want to go backwards. Plus I have two bin bags full of clothes which I am hoping to sell, and I never want to fit into them again .
    Good luck x

We also have to be patient and I do have a problem with that. I want everything to happen fast, fast, fast but in reality things do go pretty fast it is just harder for us to see it just like it is hard to see the hour and minute hands move on a clock but they are moving. You know how they say one day at a time. I usually say one hour at a time.

I can speak from experience as I lost 5 stone last Spring, to regain it all and then struggled to re-start from last August to this August. Now I am on day ten, and feeling great after losing 10 pounds in my first week. The only thing that got me through this time was really focussing on getting through the discomfort of the first few days, and then the fact that I knew I would feel great/not hungry, that and a determination that I want to be slim and healthy, more than I want to eat rubbish food.

It ain't easy, but it can be done, if you choose to do it!!

    Good luck!

    hi Ruth,
I can only speak for myself but this is my second time on CD and this to me is the golden time. I don't think I was ready last time.
All I can say is. Yes this is bloody horrid, my whole life at present resolves around CD and the 'glop' as my daughter calls it. BUT until recently my whole life revolved around my obesity, my lack of self esteem and my being miserable. I looked at a period of time (6 months) and looked at what happened in those months, I was amazed at how fast it had gone past. I reckoned that to 'give' CD 6 months of my life in ordet to be happy here on in, is actually a very small comittment. It in't hard but now on day 17, with my husband sitting next to me eating a roast dinner, I can honeslty say that I feel more at peace now than I have on months!
So try to work out why you want to be slim again, you know you can do it as you have done it before, you need to find whats holding you back... make a list of pros and cons of being slim! Whatever it takes...
But if you want it, you can do it!

    x

Thanks for the replies everyone, they're very much appreciated. I guess I've got to get in the zone, which I knew all along, but I just feel like I can't do it. However, I've got a run of 8 days from tuesdat, where I'm only working one half day at work, the rest are days off, so I'm going to go for it from tuesday.... Famous last words!
