    Hi all, I've decided to put my food diaries on here! I've kept my own since day one, but never really thought to do it here for all to see!! Well here goes!!

    Week 19 Day 7- Extra Easy

    Brekkie- Dorset Super Cranberry, Cherry & Almond muesli 28g (HEXb) with skimmed milk (HEXa) and chopped fresh mango and pear.

    Lunch- Homemade (in slow cooker) beef & red wine casserole (made with shin of beef, onions, garlic, fresh chilli, leek, celery, potato, carrots, swede, parsnips, mushrooms, tomatoes, oxo beef stock, red wine, cumin, coriander, herbs, bayleaves) (3 syns- for red wine)

    Tea- Seatrout fillet (very similar to salmon),panfried in frylight, stirfried courgette, leek, green pepper, shitake mushrooms and beansprouts with soysauce served with 1/2 tin Asda chickpea dahl (free- a yummy & brilliant find!!) Drizzle of maple syrup over seatrout (1 syn)

    Snack- Treatsize bag of mini-eggs (10 eggs= 7.5 syns) My reward for getting shiny 2 stone sticky!!:D

    Total syns 11.5

    Week 20- Day 1- Red Day

    Brekkie- Dorset apple & raisin porridge (HEXb-1) made with skimmed milk (HEXa) and one Scanbran (part of HEXb-1) topped with chopped fresh mango & banana plus some more slices of mango separately.

    Very late lunch (out walking for far too long)-
    Seatrout (like salmon- same as yest -how boring eh?!) with stirfried leek, green pepper, shitake mushrooms, courgette and bean sprouts in soy sauce and a drizzle of maple syrup over the salmon (1 syn). Luscious lemon Hifi bar (Hexb-2).

    Late supper- Beef & red wine casserole incl lots of veg(same as yest) (potato content minimal per portion- 1 syn + red wine 3 syns).

    Evening snacks- Small bunch of grapes.

    Total syns 5.

    Realised half way through the day I could turn this into a red day!!X

    On night shift so strange eating times!

    Had lie-in. 1.30pm- 3 egg omlette with herbs.

    6.30pm Dash to Sainsburys after cinema- Pack of tikka marinated chicken chunks (215g) (1 syn) and a tuna and mixed bean salad- no dressing (free). Odd combination I know but grabbed what I could!

    In work- midnight- Beef & red wine casserole incl lots of veg (3 syns for red wine), Activia fat free raspberry yogurt, bunch of black seedless grapes.

    Did not have HEXa or b- whoops!! Lack of organisation more than anything but didn't go hungry!!

    Total syns 4

    On night shift, so again strange eating times!

    5am in work- 2 clementines, an apple, 4 Laughing Cow Deli Light onion flavour (HEXa), packet of Ryvita Minis salt & vinegar (HEXb).

    On getting up/before going to work-4pm- 2 Ryvita thins Multiseed flatbreads (3 syns) Very small (taster) portion of newly slow-cooked (while I slept)chicken casserole (white wine 0.5 syns- prob negligable but just to be on the safe side..!)

    6.30pm- 2 egg omlette (frylight)with mushrooms & cherry tomatoes+ 14g grated cheddar(3 syns)

    In work- Midnight- Slow-cooked chicken casserole (white wine 2 syns) with Tesco mediterranean style couscous (0.5 syns), a pear, 2 small clementines, Activia fat free cherry yogurt.

    Snack- 1 party ring biscuit-(1.5 syns).
    Total syns 10.5

    On getting up- last of slow cooked beef, red wine & veg casserole (red wine 2 syns)

    In work-midnight- Slow cooked chicken & veg casserole (3 syns) with couscous, Activia fat free cherry yogurt, a pear.

    Snack- 1 Jammie Dodger (4 syns).

    Well done. I was on night shift earlier this week and you end up eating such weird things at such strange times. Especially the first night when you are up for almost 24 hours. Your meals sound delish by the way :)

    Hi MMP, thanks for understanding!! Sometimes I feel like a freak eating at such weird times!! Organisation is definitely the key to doing well on SW, or infact any weight loss plan! Night shifts are a real pain in the neck sometimes but we get through them! My problem is I'm always thinking about my stomach, and my colleagues always take in goodies to snack on through the night so it's extra hard!! Last night's Jammie Dodger went down well, but at 4 syns I knew I could only allow myself one!! Thanks for the compliment- I can be more adventurous so watch this space! LOL!X

    In work (before end of night shift) 5am- Thai flavour mugshot- (0.5 syns), packet of Velvet Crunch crisps (4 syns), 2 clementines.

    On getting up at 1.30pm- Bowl of Dorset Apple & Sultana porridge & 1 scanbran (HEXb) with skimmed milk (HEXa) and chopped apple on top.

    In cinema- 5pm- A banana

    Dinner in ASK restaurant- 'King Prawn al Limone Piccante' salad! This one's tricky as although the ingredients were all free, it had a lemon & chilli dressing on it and I haven't a clue on the syns so I'm guessing 8 syns just to be on the safe side! Feeling very virtuous that I didn't have pizza or pudding!!

    1 Softmint- (1 syn)

    At home 10.30pm Activia fat free mandarin yogurt.

    Total syns 13.5 (estimated)

    Brekkie- Dorset super cranberry, cherry & almond muesli 28g (HEXb) topped with 1/2 sliced banana & 1/2 chopped apple with skimmed milk (HEXa)

    Lunch- Chicken & veg curry (thickened up a bit with cornflour- 1 syn) with basmati rice and some broccoli on the side. Teaspoon of mango chutney (1 syn)

    Tea- Panfried (Frylight) salmon fillet with stirfried chinese style veg (beansprouts, bamboo shoots, cabbage, carrot, red pepper), more basmati rice (leftover from lunch!). Drizzle of sweet chilli sauce (1 syn)

    Snacks- 6 Mini Eggs- (4.5 syns)
    3 dark choc Mikados (1.5 syns)
    Ryvita thins multiseed flatbread (1.5 syns)
    An orange.

    Total syns- 10.5

    Yay, another understanding shift worker!!! I've actually got quite a good appetite on nights, so it's very easy to dive into all the goodies on the desk, but I try and be organised and take proper meals in, and if I can afford a HEXb, I'll munch on Ryvita Minis or Alpen Lights instead of choccies and doughnuts!!!X

    Up for work 5.45- Brekkie- 2 egg omlette with herbs and 9g (small sprinkle) grated cheddar (1/3 HEXa) OK OK I know I'm not meant to split my HEXs but nobody's perfect!!!

    In work- mid morning break 10.30am- Activia fat free cherry yogurt, a large comice pear and 1 Alpen Light choc/orange (1/2 HEXb)

    In work- lunch- 2.30pm- Salmon fillet with stirfried veg and basmati rice

    Just before WI- 6pm- 2 Babybel light (2/3 HEXa- the other bit of the naughty rule-breaking!) Alpen Light choc/orange (1/2 HEXb)

    Tea- 8.15pm- 3 cajun spiced chicken thighs (skinless) with corn on the cob and broccoli. An apple and a clementine.

    Snacks- 10 Mini Eggs (7.5 syns) and a packet of Ryvita Minis S&V (5 syns)

    Total syns 12.5

    I am so pleased with myself tonight as I lost 4 1/2 lb!! I think I've been pretty good and 'on plan' but it was still a shock!!!

    Up for work 5.45- Brekkie- 2 egg omlette with herbs and 2 Joe's pork & leek sausages (cooked last night in preperation)

    Break 1 in work- 11 am- Activia fat free cherry yogurt, small bunch of red grapes, 4 small clementines,

    Break 2 in work 1.45pm-Batchelors Wholegrain Pasta 'n' sauce- Creamy Tomato & Basil (1.5 syns) with 2 Joe's pork & leek sausages served with broccoli.
    A packet of Ryvita Minis- Salt & Vinegar flavour (HEXb)
    An apple.

    6pm- Banana

    10.30pm (in pub before that- strictly diet coke though!!) Baked sweet potato with a tin of tuna mixed with Hellmans X light mayo (0.5 syns- lev tbsn), sweet chilli sauce (1 syn), chopped spring onion, chopped cherry tomatoes, chilli.

    Snacks- 3 Babybel lights (HEXa), a packet of Velvet Crunch, sweet chilli flavour (4 syns), 1/3 Curlywurly (2 syns).

    Total syns 9.

    Week 21- Day 2 (Wed)- Extra easy

    Brekkie 8.30am- 2 Joe's pork & leek sausages, 2 egg omlette with herbs and 14g grated cheddar (1/2 HEXa), frylighted mushrooms and 1/2 tin baked beans. (OK OK I know this brekkie wasn't 1/3 superfree- slap wrists!)

    Lunch- 2.30pm-Vegetable curry with basmati rice and a salmon fillet panfried (strange combination but it's what I fancied!!!) (1 syn for a little cornflour in the curry). Mango chutney (1.5 syns)

    Tea- 8pm- Pork stirfry (pork loin steak strips) with veg (leek, red pepper, green pepper, chilli, spring onion, garlic, root ginger, 7g toasted sunflower seeds (2 syns)) with soysauce and chinese 5 spice served with organic soba noodles.

    Snacks- 28g Tesco Healthy Living mozzerella (reduced fat) (1/2 HEXa)
    HIFI luscious lemon bar (HEXb).

    Total syns 4.5.

    Brekkie- 7.45- 2 egg omlette with cherry tomatoes and herbs. A pear.

    Lunch-1pm- Nandos!! (GULP!!-I'm going to have to guesstimate here- the syns info on Nandos is appalling!!) Chicken breast fillet + piri-piri sauce +mayo (?6 syns) in pitta bread (7.5 syns) with spicy rice (apparently free) and 'Macho' peas (?2 syns- incase of butter) Frozen yogurt- fat free (I've heard this is free so I hope that's correct!)

    Tea- 6.30pm- Went to Waitrose in Cardiff on way home from Bristol- From salad bar- salad leaves, pasta salad (?2 syns for little dressing) couscous salad (not at all oily so assuming free). A Marmite cereal bar (4.5 syns)

    At home 9.30pm- 2 corn thins (2/5 HEXb) with 2 Laughing Cow XL triangles (1/3 HEXa) and Marmite XO!! Waitrose fat free probiotic blueberry yogurt (1.5 syns)

    Total (guesstimated) syns- 23.5

    I realise I haven't had my full HEX allowance today, haven't had 1/3 superfree with every meal, and may have guesstimated my syns wrong but c'mon guys, I can't be perfect ALL the time!!! LOL!X
