Ok everyone I think we should all put on here one or tips to the exante diet and see what we can all learn from each other! There could be something that works for you that might help someone else and vice verca :)



My tip- I have old pictures of me and my family stuck in my kitchen, on my fridge door and cupboard doors so anytime I want to go and nibble something I see how happy and healthy I was at one point and that's nothing tastes better than the want for that, the only thing I'm hungry for is look and feel my best!

Anyone else want to share???
 
My goal is to get to size 10, so brought some size 10 river island jeans from ebay and they are hung on the out side of my wardrobe. They are the first thing i see in the morning and.last thing at night. I will get into them!
 
I have 9 sachets of soups that I don't like. If anyone would like them let me know and I'll pop them in the post. I'd rather not throw them away if someone can make use of them.
 
Write a list of the bad points about being over weight and the good points for getting to your goal.

Always remember that the sooner you get to your goal the better, and that deviating from the plan is only going to make it take longer.

Don't let the comments/ignorance of others get you down, you are doing this for you, not for them.

The scales won't always be showing your progress, so don't expect them to be constantly moving. As long as you are sticking to the plan 100%, you are doing your best and heading in the right direction.

If you have something that you shouldn't, either planned or in a moment of weakness, don't use it as an excuse to let things spiral out of control. Put it behind you and get back on the plan straight away, not 'tomorrow' or 'next week'.

Losing weight on a VLCD can be relatively easy, but remember that it's only part of the big picture.
 
Instead of the healthy pictures on the fridge, I have pictures of me at my heaviest on there. So when im feeling hungry, I look at the picture and no longer feel like snacking.

Plan your day - always have a bar or shake in your handbag/man bag so if caught late in town/at work you have no excuse to eat anything than Exante! :)
 
Plan! Obsessively so! I use myfitnesspal all the time and plan my packs at least a day in advance. I have not shied away from socialising at all, I have just learnt to plan to make good choices to stay in ketosis while I'm out. I'm averaging one night a week out with friends and it gives me something to look forward to, making good choices boosts my confidence about coping with food in future and I avoid any negative comments about the diet that could knock me off track because people don't realise I'm on mostly shakes.

Also - water water and more water. Being properly hydrated makes everything better. I fill a 2L bottle every morning and keep it in the car.


I have sorted my wardrobe in to size order, so it is easy to pick up something to try on for size to see my progress. I am donating things to charity around once a fortnight - once I have slimmed in to one item, a bigger version goes to charity.

If having drinks with friends fill your wine glass with diet coke. Doesn't feel like your missing out so much and others will think you have alcohol in there so less awkward questions to answer about why your not drinking. ?
