i am finding hard in the evenings at the mo because my other half is always constantly grazing in front of the t.v! the weather is good at the mo so i have taken every oppertunity to get out of the house! i am at work from 6am and don`t get home till 6pm and i am changed and out the door again! i am not seeing my other half much but its all i can do to resist temptation lol! last night i went for a sauna and the night before i went on a 6 mile dog walk! anyone else find this helps? i am worried i might burn my self out! .......feel great at the moment though x

Hi Emmiclaire,

I find much the same thing, especailly arounf teatime. We got our first dog at Christmas, and its turned out to be a really good thing for me because as soon as tea is dished up, the lead is clipped on and we're out of the door! It also seems to stop the kids form asking why I'm not having any tea.

I'm also having a lot more early nights to avoid the late night grazing that goes on. This is also a big benefit as I'm up ealry enough in the morning now to have the time to take the dog for another walk before going to work!

Poor thing, she's only tiny, but I cant see her legs getting much longer as I walk her so much!

I think keeping busy and getting out of the house is a good thing and defo will help.

I'm only on day 5 but already i have realised that evening time is the hardest time of the day for me and when i miss food the most ... so i have a plan of attack lol.

Going to start increasing my dogs evening walk to longer (thanks for the idea there ladies :)) ..also thinking about starting an evening college course, just a hobby one nothing serious .. maybe learn Italian. And may also (energy levels dependant) take my work colleagues up on a place on their netball team.

Should keep me busy and away from my old routine of grazing in front of the telly or going out for tea/drinks etc

The evening is without doubt the worst time of the day for me too!!:( I am fine all day long as soon as the clock hits 6 pm I feel like I want to eat something I have realized that when I'm eating I can go all day without hardly anything to eat and then stuff myself in the evening!! That will have to stop! :) to distract myself I go on the wii fit plus have a bath go on the Internet or just run round getting my 14 month old tired out for bed when I get to goal my OH will be treating me to a huge shopping spree everything I have will be given away or thrown out can't wait till that day arrives!!:D

yep im the same and its awful had a rice cake last night and felt rubbish thats twice now , i guess it wasnt lots but still not right and not how i want to be...def the evening times worse im thinking a walk is a good idea!!! and it's def just habit as all day im fine trying not to beat self up but i only started saturday BUT must admit proud as i usually have no willpower with anything and thought id just have thought sod it im the way and weight i am but after how well im feeling and reading how well everyone is doing im keeping going i just get worried ive totally ruined it and my body will just store the fat rather than getting rid x

I walk TONS!!! I have probably walked enough to have done a lap of the world by now lol
Its working out great for me because i'm getting out of the house, fresh air and exercise, avoiding food (though i live in a town so have to pass a lot of take-aways before i get out into the fields) and the dog has calmed down and become more relaxed and less excitable because she's getting loads of exercise!!!

Hey hun, why don't you chuck the rice cakes and any other nibbly food out? you can't eat what you don't have!

I started doing yoga and I absolutely love it!! I also walked around the city for a bit today, normally I bus it to the shops and bus back, but this time I walked home in the sunshine with my ipod stuck in my ears :)

Evenings are definately a struggle - I'm fine in the day as I have a 7 month old to look after / entertain but once evening comes the hunger is really kicking in. I've resisted so far and day 6 is coming to an end now - I just hope I get a good first loss to spur me on for the following week.
Thanks for some of the tips too.
