Hello there,

From a purely theoretical Dukan point of view, Philadelphia Extra Lite is restricted to 30g a day on Cruise phase and is considered a "tolerated food" (of which you are allowed two a day in Cruise, and are advised to keep away from if you're not satisfied with your weight loss). It is not ok in attack phase. It's 5% fat. I had trouble figuring that fat content out from the label. Then I came across this article which enlightened me.

BUT your confusion probably comes from a recipe posted recently on the UK official website (and here) containing far more than the 30g per day (13 times more I think!). And, when queried, they said it was ok to eat over 2 days. In France we have a 0% fat "cheese" (well it's called "cheese", but that's where the relationship ends... kind of like our "fat free ham"'s relationship to ham!)... I personally think they're confusing the two.


Soooo I can't see your signature as to whether you're losing well or not, or how much you weigh, or what your time scale is, but I'd stick to 30g max per day in Cruise if I were you.

Hi Jo thanks for that clarification - I'm guessing it's only fat free stuff that is totally "unlimited" which as you point out the extra light stuff isn't. Have weighed out 30g and don't think I'll have eaten that much so should be ok!
Can't figure out how to get a ticker as I tried most of last night but weight loss going great now - down over 3kgs in 2 weeks.

I've been buying little individual portions that come in fours. Each portion is 35g so I have been using one of those, and find them quite handy as I do not then have a tub to dig into!

Hi m mouse do you get little pots of the extra light I could only see the light version - is that ok to have 30g of?

Dunno about tickers, cos have never bothered, but if you click on "Quick Links" above at the right in the blue bands, you can add a typed signature. Above left in the blue bands, there is "User CP" and there you can fill out your height, weight (in pounds), and it calculates your BMI
