Giving up chocolates and crisps to TTC - eventually

    Soooo...here I am at nearly 30 and 244.7lbs. I NEED to lose weight. My OH and I would like to have kids and have been referred for IVF, which we can't get, because my BMI is to high. As well we recently have some problems, because I am finding myself really unattractive and I always assume my OH must feel the same. He doesn't, or at least he doesn't say.
    So now I decided that this has to change. I want to be able to look in the mirror again and like myself.
    That's the goal. Hopefully I'll get there.

    So far so good...half way through the day now and not feeling hungry. I have even managed to drink 1.5 liters of water so far, but I have to go to the loo all the time.
    Ah well, gets me away from my desk for a couple of minutes. I am now looking forward to my Maple Fruits and Almonds Bar this afternoon. :)

    Thank you guys.
    I am home now and sooo hungry. I've drank 2 liter of water so far, intending to drink at least another liter. I've got a slight headache, but I might even have that without the diet.
    Having my cheesy pasta now, changed my mind, originallt wanted to have spicy spaghetti... It actually feels good to have a choice :)

    Hey Jewel. Thanks for that, that's what I needed to hear. I couldn't cope with that every day... I just munch some cucumber now and then distract myself until I go to bed.

    Im munching a maple fruit and almond bar just now - its lush!

    What do they want you to get your BMI to in order for them to give you the IVF? Sorry if thats a stupid question, but I dont know anything about it and I'm curious. Im losing weight to get a breast enlargement. There's no weight restriction for the op I want, but the hospital I spoke to suggested I am for 30 or lower, which is fine because I wanted to lose weight beforehand anyway.

    Hi ClaireCat! I need to get my BMI under 30, same as you then. I am not complaining, I need to lose weight anyway and I want to for myself as well. I would like to enjoy looking at myself again. I can do this. I ust need to take it one day at a time :)

    So, this is the morning of day 2. Just prepared my breakfast, Original Oatmeal. I don't like the Porridge, so this will have to be my breakfast for the next 5 week (until I place a new order). I am not really sure if I could use a Shake for Breakfast or would still be hungry afterwards, as it doesn't feel like I've eaten anything. I need to try.
    Early days, but I was 100% yesterday. It was hard with headaches and hunger, but I made it. :) Let's see how today goes...

    Welcome aboard.

    Dont worry about having a shake for brekkie, once youre in ketosis you shouldnt feel hungry :)

    Youve got a great incentive for the diet thats for sure. Course your hubby finds you attractive :) Youll be like me, see yourself totally differently. I dont have a hubby but I have a friend (with benefits) and cant imagine why or how he finds me attractive but believe me he does. Its a shame we cant see ourselves the way they see us!!!

    Hello starlight! Yes, that's true...it's a shame that I can't see myself how he sees me...although I really think he wouldn't mind if I lost the weight I want to lose...

    I am really hungry just now, and am looking forward to my soup - Curry Chicken Noodles Soup... I have to say, that's my favourite out of all the packs... I could probably have that all day every day lol ...sneaking in a Dark Chocolate Truffa Bar every now and again...

    I need to remember to buy some vegetables after work, otherwise I won't have any for dinner. Will probably get some cucumber and green peppers... :)

    I've had my soup for lunch and I really enjoyed it. It's so yummy... I am so glad that the meals actually taste really good, otherwise I know I couldn't stick to it. I drank 1.5 liters of water so far and going for another 1.5 liters.
    The only problem is: I am a bit hungry now... I will have a Milk Chocolate Truffa Bar in about half an hour. Looking forward to that, because my colleagues around me keep munching biscuits...
    So far, so good... I think this will be another day at 100% :)

    Hello, just catching up! You're doing really well. It is truly a struggle to get through this first week but keep on going.
    :)
    Take it day by day and distract yourself as much as you can.
    Anything pampering to make you feel better about yourself too. This diet does wonders for your skin with all the vitamins and water, much better then sugary salty greasy junk food. So why not get a nice moisturiser and some pretty nail varnish and have a few indulgent evenings?
    Make good use of these forums as bit only do they provide great support - they are a great distraction too!! Xx

    I am home now and had my Mushroom Pasta. Was planning to have Cottage Pie, but planning obviously doesn't work for me...haha
    I cut up a few vegetables in small pieces, green peppers, beansprouts and cucumber, and I am actually really enjoying munching them instead of crisps... Funny what hunger can do to you... lol Although, to be honest, I am not that hungry anymore. I would be lying if I said I feel full, but I am not as hungry as I was yesterday.
    So another day at 100%. It's only day 2, but I am feeling proud :D

    Hello Sammy. I actually followed you suggestion and got some nice nail varnish and creams yesterday. Now only need to learn how to apply nail varnish without having it all over my hands... lol Have never done it before...

    This is day 3 and I am feeling a lot better than I felt yesterday morning. I am not as hungry as I was, the headache is nearly gone. Still tired though and feeling low on energy. Hope that will improve over the next couple of days.
    I was tempted to take a sneak peak on the scales this morning, but I resisted. Want to try and wait until weigh-in day on Monday... Will see how successful I'll be with that...

    Just had my lunch - Thai Soup. It's yummy, but really spicy...
    I am sooo tired now and am not sure how can make it until 5pm, when I can go home...
    Back to work and trying not to fall asleep...

    Well done on treating yourself. Day 3 might just be your day to crash out as soon as you get home. Hope you don't have to dig too deep to get through the afternoon.
