Good Morning, I'm returning

#1
 this is the first time i have signed on since 19th Feb 2009! In 2008 I lost 3 and a half stone and felt brilliant. Spent 2009/10 putting on a few pounds and battling to take them off. In the last 12 months I have piled on 2 1/2 stone, so now back to my original start weight.
I'm absolutely gutted with myself. Didnt think I would ever allow myself to put it back on again. Several friends did the diet in 2009 and I was the only one not to put it back on after a few months.
I was tidying my wardbrobe at the weekend and so sad to be bagging up the lovely clothes i used to wear, to go to the charity shop. It struck me that latterly I have been getting more and more untidy, not bothering about myself - straightening my hair is a chore, eyebrows never neat, no make up and that i'm buying my bigger clothes from the charity shops and sale rails at the supermarket (nothing wrong with George at Asda!)
Anyway, it's time to get a grip. I've got a lovely monsoon dress that i've never worn and will be lovely for Christmas time. I've put my 'good' clothes neatly away and I will be wearing them soon. I started yesterday morning, i've had my water allowance and 3 packs. I'm absolutely ravenous this morning but already i'm feeling better within myself. I've got a long road to travel but Christmas is only 4 months away and I could have my old self back.
Good luck to everyone, i'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hello, I can totally understand where you are coming from. I did slimming world 4 years ago and lost nearly 7 stone and got to just on 16 stone granted still overweight but with health problems I had to stop due to surgery and now I am on here as since having a hysterectomy I am finding it hard to lose the weight and I too have got nice clothes that don't fit and I hate myself for slipping back into old ways but I am here now and will do it and will keep the weight off. Good luck to you xxx

Hi Molly - your story sounds so much like mine! I'd realised too that I've just stopped bothering, cover legs with full length leggings so I don't have to shave them (how disgusting is that!!!!) buy anything to wear that fits, its shaming really but the kick up the butt I needed coupled with the fact that my daughter-in-law has been married 5 years and I originally went on Lighter Life for her wedding.

I've never previously finished my journey but this time I will, good luck with yours.
