I have read through quite a few really good threads and thought I would share in one thread some of the great tips/suggestions I have gathered which have certainly helped me to keep some variety... wondered if anyone had any more... :)

    • Have shake with crushed ice (my fav)
    • Add instant coffee to the Vanilla Shake
    • Add instant coffee to the Chocolate Shake
    • Made the Chocolate shake hot - Hot Chocolate!
    • Add some peppermint tea to the Chocolate to make mint choc, hot or cold shake or even as a mousse
    • Add a small bit of your vanilla shake to a coffee or tea instead of milk
    • Split your shakes up into 2 if its going to be a long day
If you have anymore let me know... these are fab... :)

    Great tip for me was...

If you don't like the flavour of the shakes then change your mindset to view it as 'fat medicine' and like medicine it's not supposed to taste good!

Did me the world of good that medicine.

Mix the chocolate shake with a little bit of water, in a mug.
Put the mug in the microwave for about 1 minute.

And you get a muffin :D

I like the idea about a muffin but I thought we weren't supposed to microwave the shakes because of the nutrients and stuff?

Hmmm, never heard about the microwave thing.
I did it, and it didn't seem to affect me.

And it makes it so nice to have a bite!

Does anyone know if/ and what the strawberry shake and the choc taste like together? I used to love chocolate and strawberry ice cream together and wondered if I can recreate the magic!!!

Missmv yes, you should still eat it as it is all part of your days balanced nutrients.

Once I did my usual vanilla shake at work for 11's and whacked in my decaff coffee. Then I spotted green bits in it --- yep, I'd mixed coffee with a chicken soup. Had to down that in one I can tell you!!! Not good but it is fat medicine afterall.

I made it wrong the first time. You need less water than with a mousse, 'cause you want a paste.
But what I did when it was a slop the first time, I just put it in the microwave longer until it became hard
