green days and pcos

Hi all, just want a bit of advice really. I have been doing sw for a while now. But have recently moved into a new pub so my meals are all over at the minute. I usually have red days but have been having green days as I find it fills me up and I can make quick meals. I made a lasagne yday and had 3 meals out of it! Hehe the prob is I have very bad pcos. I haven't lost any weight these past 4 weeks, I have maintained though. But I haven't cheated etc, I have tonnes of free food. I do eat a lot but I always have as I like to be full! Lol I also eat late at night, midnight when I have finished cleaning. Do you think the amount of carbs I am having will affect my losses...my face looks bigger, kinda bloated. I'm just a bit confused over what will be best?

:eek: Eating at midnight is probably one of the worst things you can do!! Certain foods may be free but you can still over eat on them, you could be having a carb overload!!!.......you haven't lost weight in 4 weeks so that could be a clue that you are maybe over-eating!! (I don't know anything about PCOS)

Your lasagne that you made obviously contained meat did you measure it out? If you were doing Green you are only allowed a certain amount of red meat as a HE B, what was the white sauce made with, did you syn it? did you measure out the cheese you had? Did you have anything else with the lasagne???

Measure out your Healthy Extras

Have between 5-15 syns a day

Keep a food diary and write down EVERYTHING that passes your lips even if its bad!!

STOP eating at midnight, you might be thirsty and you are confusing it with hunger!! try and cut down on your portions, drink lots of water, try and include lots of superfree foods into your meals and hopefully things will start to shift for you :)

I have PCOS and I have always stuggled to lose on green as the carbs just fuelled the insulin resistence and set my apetite on fire and I was just eating eating and eating. I always lost well on red and the old mix to max plan and lost six stone on it once. I now do extra easy and find this is a good compromise. I really missed the extra hex b on the ee plan so I have it now and just syn it instead and that works for me. I lost 2 stone in jan/feb on ee but then lost the plot and by August was back to square one but its coming off quickly again on the ee

I have pcos and live in a pub too so eat late aswell, I find that my weight loss goes in stages. I can lose loads one week then sts for weeks later.
I gave myself a weekend off 2 weeks ago and gained 6lbs! I weigh 10st so 6 on is quite a lot.

The way I look at it is that when I'm not on sw I gain week on week even if it's only half a pound. If I stick to plan tend to lose over the course of a month.

Now that my weight loss has slowed I have dropped to 5syns a day and adding a few green days in but still having super free.

I made a syn freww quorn lasagne full of veg too. The white sauce was cottage cheese! Hehe I think I'm gonna cut down to 5 syns a day as I tend to have a packet of crisp or choccie bar a day ( approx 11 syns per day, never over 15) I have to eat late or I wouldn't eat at all, its hard to cook healthy in between 18 hour days. Ill try to cut down on the pasta coz I can easily eat half a packet in a sitting...not good!

Are you doing a food diary? Are you weighing & measuring HExs and Syns? Don't cut out your syns... have another look at exactly what you are eating, are you eating when you are hungry and til you are satisfied and not til you waddle? I ALWAYS eat late and there is no evidence that eating late hinders weighloss!

I bulk cook and freeze into pre portioned containers ready for late night munchies when I'm tired.

Hi there sorry was just reading through some post and saw that you are from nottingham the same as me , do you mind me asking whereabouts in nottingham you are from? How are you finding the sw plan and which plan are you following. would be nice to hear back from you.

I do tend to eat till I waddle. I will start a food diary today and post it. See were I'm messing up. I do measure hex's that's why I'm so annoyed. Will post a food diary in few days . Thanks everyone x

I'm in cotgrave and followed mostly EE til I got to target, now I alternate. :)
