Right. I am sure i am being completely unreasonable here, but I have to get this off my chest otherwise i will be strangling the OH very soon

He did his neck un on weds, and as a result has had to rest while i do everything. He has slept upright in the sofa for 3 nights as lying down hurts. He decided to try & sleep properly last night in bed. I have been up since 5.30am because he aas snoring SO loudly. He woke up about 1/2 an hour ago full of beans after his brilliant night sleep & now he WON'T SHUT UP!! Talkung about some dream he had last night, & football. Plus, he keeps saying 'babe, could you just get me xyz cos my neck hurts'. He is taking the pi^s.

Rant over.

Sorry, had a little chuckle reading that! I'd be mighty annoyed too!

It's important to remember that men are pathetic when anything is wrong, and we would never understnad how bad it is.

Perhaps surround him (on the sofa?) with everything he can possibly want - drink, snacks, remote controls - and then go and have a long soak in the bath or back to bed for a couple of hours to catch up.

Hope your day brightens up a bit!

Let me guess - refuses to take some painkillers as well??? Honestly, they are all as bad as each other!

earplugs :8855: then you won't hear him snore or ask you to get something for him :)

Seriously they are very annoying. I would be grrrrr too . Have a (((hug))) and remove yourself from earshot and he'll have to get whatever he needs himself. He does not need his neck to use his legs ;)

I think you are totally unreasonable !!!!

every one knows we are put on earth to cater to their every whim and need.

No let me clarify that * every male * knows this. ;)

You have to do what I did. After 20 years plus with husband no. 1 who expected me to run a farm, run an international business, cook like a Michelin starred chef, dress like a vogue model, perform my, hm-mm, wifely duties like a lady of the night, be an interior designer, entertain his business friends and be a nurse to him when he felt even vaguely unwell. You have to find yourself a younger, untried one. My DH is moulded my way.............lol !!! He is 17 years younger than me and was oh so innocent when I met him.............poor lamb. I vowed I would never be capable again.:D

26 years later, he looks after me. He still treats me like Dresden china and is under no illusions about mans place in a woman's life lol.!!!!:)

Seriously Kingsled, just tell him to put a sock in it and tell him you have wrenched your knee and can not move off the sofa and could he get you a cup of tea please.........

Training girls, it is all about training !!!:8855:

He he! My OH does seem to have a sensor in his head which lets him know the moment he has taken the pi&s too much. He is now cooking dinner for us, and has told me he will cook tomorrow as well.

Don't get me wrong - he hasn't had a decent nights sleep since tuesday due to the neck problem & is on some heavy duty painkillers - so he's not right by any means & should be resting - but why he can't do it quietly is beyond me!!!

Also, he keeps talking about how much it hurts and that no one understands how painful it is till they've done it. Whilst conveniently forgetting that i have done it myself! & it was nowhere near as bad as when i properly did my back in & spent a month in bed!!

Tell him to get back to you when he's given birth
