Aw Honey, I hope not. It sounds like you have big problems, I really hope yolu can sort it out, you have a lot of history together; is he feeling threatened by the diet? Lots of men like their wifes to stay 'wifey' and not get all attractive and sexy to other men.

Just a thought, I am probably barking up entirely the wrong tree, hope things improve anyway.

Sorry to hear youre having a bad time spooky.
I think when people start to tackle a problem area in their lives like weight issues it can make us look at other aspects of our lives that we are not entirely satisfied with, such as relationships and careers.
I hope you work things out.
Well done for not turning to food. It never solves the problems facing us, even though it feels so good at the time.
All thinking of you.

Morning all.
Things were a bit stilted last night. I have left him in bed this morning. I have a feeling he will do anything I ask of him at the moment.
He wants to go to Relate or similar, and he is gonna organise it.

Spooky, hunni :(

I really wish I'd stayed online last night now instead of having an early night .... sorry babes! :hug99:

I'm sooo proud of you for not hitting the fridge. It's a massive step to recognise that food is never the answer. Good on for sticking to your guns, make him take some responsibility for your relationship - you can't carry it all on your own. A marriage is a partnership that you BOTH have to contribute to - why should it always be you that sorts everything out.

I'm online all day if you need me, if you wanna chat send me a PM and i'll send you my moby number.

Chin up babes - ball's in his court. Big hugs xx

Well, Relate want silly money to even consider talking to us, so have made appt with GP and will see if the counsellor attatched to the practice can help us.
Anyone know of anything else (or anyone we can approach) that I/we/him can do?

Hiya - sorry you've been having a hard time...:(

In Northern Ireland we have a 'Mediation' service - to help families going thru' difficulties...had a quick shufty on google and found the following link....

Community - Local Advice Finder - TheSite.org

not sure if it'll be of any help but have couple of friends who've used the service here and found it helpful....think it's free too !!

hope you get sorted...

forgot to say - you need to select 'relationships' in the drop down window - 'abuse' comes up cos it's first in the alphabet.....
