hair loss

    I have been doing Ss for 4 months and have lost 3 stone....great...but I seem to be losing hair at an alarming rate. Am worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Am wondering about switching to Sw for the last 1 and half stones.

    I have been doing SS for 3 weeks now (well done for doing it for 3 months!!!) and I've noticed that, although my hair doesn't seem to be falling out it is thinner, I used to have quite nice thickish hair :( But it will go back to normal once you've lost the weight and you come off it. Is it coming out on your brush etc?

    My hair is falling out by the handful. I've been doing Cambridge since march and lost 5.8 stone. The amount i pull out of my brush and plug hole everyday is alarming and my hair does look and feel very thin. I have been told this is quite common but it will grow back. Im hoping starting plan 3 tomorrow and eating more real food should help but I'll keep you posted.

    Thank you so much for your posts...I feel a bit better now! Have decided to take some supplements and also introduce some veg and fruit rather than sole source exclusively. But great you are both doing so well.

    ooh - better to have just veg (off the permitted lists for SS+/810). Fruit is rammed full of sugar (carbs) and will stop you getting into ketosis, which means you'll be really hungry.

    In fact, too much veg can do that too. Have a look at the SS+ / 810 plans.

    There is a supplement you can be from holland and Barrett Silica not the cheap version but silica is brilliant
