Me and hubby had our first night with no kids for over SIX years last night.It was a totally unexpected offer from my mum to have all 3 kids so was unplanned and we popped to the pub for a drink as a treat.The idea was to have a couple then head home to watch xfactor but it didn't really work out that way :eek:
I managed to resist my usual pints and went with white wine spritzers but ended having 6 followed by a glass of wine when we finally got home at midnight :rolleyes: I've been so bloomin good for the three and a half weeks I've been doing SW and not touched any alcohol so am a bit annoyed at myself for over doing it last night.I only need 2lbs off this week to get my stone award but am now thinking I probably ruined it :sigh:
I only had 6 syns so far this week so hoping that'll balance it out?Grrrr feel so upset with myself and hungover too :p

Never think to yourself you have ruined the week, or the temptation will be to go off the rails again, because it doesn't matter you've already ruined the week...

You've had so few syns you had 99 syns to play with - a bottle of wine is 24 syns and I don't know if the lemonade was diet, but if it wasn't allow 10-15 for that. This means you have 60 syns left until weigh in, no panic at all!
31 syns left if you only have 10 a day.

Not ruined at all :>

Well you certainly made a bit of a dent in the evening, but it's up to you whether you ruin the whole week.

It was just one evening, and as you can see from JemmaBe's useful calculations, it really wasn't that bad.

Be kind to yourself, nurse your hangover, and you will be fine!

I had soda water with the wine so no extra syns to add on there.Hubby is kicking himself because he had six pints :rolleyes:
So if you stay within your total syns for the week it doesn't really matter if you go over on one day then?Is that right? :confused:

Some people always use their syns weekly, they start the week with 35-105 and then deduct it from their weekly syns. This isn't the 'offical' line but many people find it works for them.

You should be fine if you don't want to do that all the time, just do it for this week and start next week afresh.

oh and p.s.. I won't ruin the rest of the week.I'm totally 1001% on plan food wise.Even when we got home a bit merry last night we ate some of the free spaghetti sauce that I took out of the freezer before we went out with some WM pasta and I ate an apple.Got a chicken roasting in the oven and tons of veg all prepared so not even given in to my craving for hang over food.
My head is totally in the "zone" but I guess our first night out in six years deserved a bit of a treat and as has been pointed out I'm still within my syns so not as bad as I thought.Tx again xx

Of course, if you hadn't done anything special you'd have regretted and resented it. Not eating syns earlier in the week saved you a little, although you could have just not have many syns today and you'd have balanced it out (15+9syns today) and still been fine.

In the grand scheme of things, this was unplanned but was not a big slip up at all. Your losses also show how dedicated you are at the moment.

Our C says its up to us if we use syns weekly or daily. She recomends weekly counting for those who like to enjoy their weekend but find it pretty easy to stick to plan in the week.

It shouldn't be a problem at all.

Even if you'd had your syns over the week, yesterday could be treated as a flexi-syn day so not off plan at all.

As I have said to many before you cant change the past so just make the future better. But please dont beat yourself up when you have a bad day as said in an earlier post just draw a line under it and carry on as normal. Good luck with weigh in.

You certainly deserved to let your hair down after 6 years! I don't think you've done any damage at all as you had so many syns saved up. Worry over lol! Enjoy the rest of your week. X

Don't spoil your night out by fretting, as it has been said before, in total your weekly syns are still on track and well done on the apple it doesn't follow several glasses of wine in my house it has to be said. I think that is why most people avoid alcohol, you can have it within your syns its the follow ons that you haven't planned for you shouldn't (donner kebab etc:party0051:) You should be fine for your shiny xx good luck and keep us posted

this way of eating is for life - a night out won't have scuppered it too much - back on track and go for it ! good luck.

Just wanted to update and say I lost 2.5lbs and got my stone award.Thanks for all the support everyone xx
