Hi there, I could have written your post myself. I have days when I just can't resist a blow out and sugar cravings get the better of me. Yes, the day after I duffer too with headaches and feeling sluggish!

It's taken me a while to accept that that's me and how I am, I need to have these occasional lapses. I just tell myself to get back on track the next day and remind myself of how far I've come. I used to feel like a failure and like giving up if I had a bad day but not now, the voice of reason has kicked in.

It's a journey we're on and a bad day won't put you right back where you started if it's only for one day and you stick to it from then after, maybe treat it as a flexible syns day??

I bet you're both doing fab, don't beat yourself up about it and stick with it xx

I do it too often but I discovered the cause of my constant cravings so that will change soon!
I normally think about sticking to 70 a week but never have a flexible day! Do these flexible syn days work?

Yes they do, I've seen people in group loose after having flexible syns. They're for when you have an event or a big night out and know you'll go over syns. If you know you'll drink a whole bottle of wine, not resist dessert and stop for a curry on the way home etc then your group consultant will give you an extra syn allowance for that day (I've known people have 50,75,100+ etc) the rules are stick strictly 100% to Sw for the rest of the week either side of you flexible syn day and you'll still loose.

It just takes the pressure off a bit if you know it will be hard to stick to SW for one day.

Well the slippery slope lasted into this week :( I went to group tonight to face the music. So glad I went. 4 lb gain but Image Therapy has refocussed me for the week ahead.
