Help- can I eat this?!?!- for general help questions and answers for everyone

Ive been looking at what im going to have for dinner and ive seen someone has "grilled steak, jacket potato and salad" on their slimming world week planner?!?!? Is this an original day meal? Ive been eating my meat with no potatoes as I thought they were just for a green day???!?!?!? PLEASE help. i have lamb steaks in the freezer so I could have lamb steaks (grilled), jacket potato and salad for dinner but I only will if it is a free meal. I’ve already had my syns today! :cry:

thats not an original day as the jacket potato would have to be your HEB allowance... the meat and salad would be free food/superfree food.

but like starlight said if you want to do an extra easy day all of the above is free food/superfree foods :happy036:

Best thing would be to do an extra easy day.

Then your meal will be free, with your 1/3 of super free. but remember only one A and B choice!

It depends what plan you're following today - to me it looks like you're on either Original (Red) or Extra Easy, based on that lunch.

If Extra Easy: Yes, you can have lamb steaks, jacket potato and salad for dinner, so long as your salad takes up about a third of your plate. Ideally, your fruit should have taken up about a third of your lunch too. You can also have a Hex A at some point (milk or cheese).

If Original: Yes, you can have lamb steaks, jacket potato and salad for dinner, so long as your jacket potato weighs 227g (give or take a few grams) - this would make it your second Hex B of the day, as on Original/Green you are allowed two Hex Bs. You would also be able to have one or two Hex As on this plan.

Hope that makes things a bit clearer? The plan is really tricky to get your head round at first, but once it clicks it's easy peasy!!

If you had no salad with your sandwhich earlier you will have to stick to a red day and use your spud as a Hex

thanks ladies! I really need to get my head round it! if I havent my the end of the month im going to start going to the classes as my sisters wedding is in september!!! time is fast running out :-( xx

Yeah ive had a look but everytime I think ive got it- I get hungry and forget everything lol! I just love food too much (The bad fatty food I shouldnt have) x

Don't we all haha. Even thou I think SW is the BEST and the amount of food you can consume and still loose weight is AMAZING your always going to crave what you can't have... Ie I would Love a big fillet tower burger meal now but prior to SW I would go months without it being a passing thought...only if I was near one. X

I find I think more about bad foods now I know Im not allowed them lol! I have turkey meat balls in te freezer I may have those tonight! xxx

Me too haha :) just had a Toby cavery today it was torture not to have a massive plate of roast potatoes those HUGE Yorkshire pud's, cauliflower cheese drowned in gravy haha x
